Is something wrong with duty finder?

Might be from lack of people playing since the patch is going to drop soon. Esoterics will be easier to get and the current lockouts are being removed.

my Alexander Normal queues were 30 minutes as a healer yesterday. I wrote it off to it being 2 AM server time, but yeah, made me sad >_<

Still got 5 seeds to get and I'm absolutely determined to do it before the patch.

Just because it works, it doesn't mean that it's good practice. Robbery is a way to get money quickly. Is it a good way? No.
(I know it's not a proper comparison, just wanting to point out that 'working' =/= 'good advice'.)

Have you tried to explain in auto-translation: "Ok, so when the boss casts [ability name], we need to stack, and then immediately after spread out again to avoid splash damage attack." Or "If you get stuck on the ledge when trying to jump off Bismarck, try jumping off him closer to the centre of the 'merge' with the island." (The last being the reason why a FR-only random went parachuting yesterday.)

I don't know about you, but I've seen the subject come up a couple of times. Usually in threads regarding other topics, like it was brought up this time, but I've seen it. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it's not there. Try checking 'tales from the duty finder' or 'healer horror stories' and similar threads.

And yes, you get 'bads' in any language. You're more likely to be counted as bad if you insist on pretending to speak a language you don't, only to fail to understand when you're given advice that would actually help you get better. *shrugs*

We had an issue where we had to boot our tank from an in-progress Ex for harassment. We asked a FC member to queue for in-progress after about ten minutes, and she got a new party twice instead. We waited another 20 minutes before deciding that the in-progress sorter for Expert Roulette must have broken, so we abandoned.

If you're trying to queue in progress into a friend's dungeon through roulette, there is a very very high chance you won't get into the same group as them simply because it's roulette.

A tank too nonetheless

If they queued for a specific dungeon in progress there was a better chance of them getting into your group.

Should have clarified, they were queuing for the dungeon specifically. But we figured there's usually SOME tank queing with the "In Progress" button checked, and to not get one for 30 minutes was rather odd.
