This makes me so happy ;___; I thinkg that Tank DPS might end up capping at around 950-1000 with current IL, unless they reaaaally want to bring tank numbers down. I don't think it'll go lower than 800, though. Or at least I sure hope so!
Good on them for not nerfing WAR and buffing the others instead.
Well, kind of. This interview suggests that they brought DRK and PLD up, but then nerfed tanks unilaterally.
I'm personally reserving judgment until we see the (preliminary?) patch notes as translated by the localization team. I want to see what they're doing to PLD, because while they keep hinting that they're changing PLD a lot, we haven't gotten any specifics.
So we are to assume the following:
- VIT tanks will be the exclusive option, while being a bit weaker than a 3.15 STR tank
- WAR won't change, but PLD and DRK will be buffed both in offensive and defensive means
- Stance swapping will most likely be oGCD and will introduce pros and cons that will require management to achieve tanking goals
Am I missing anything?

Although PLD’s DPS will be increased to be close to DRK and WAR, PLD won’t be able to equal their DPS completely, because they have much better and easier to use defensive skills.
uf thats the problem to have 2 threats for the same discusion and i post in general discussion lol.
if wars don't get any change except deliverance modifications this means they skills dont get any change and still scale with srt, with the new vit meta all defensive skills based in str get a number nerf in that case, equilibrium go to lose most of the effect, well nice, but i was hope they change at least raw intuition, that skills is so freaking op for a non parry tank.
yeah yeah forgeth mi post mi mistake, hugh well lets se this change in tank stance then, damm wars.
I'm so happy I love DRK to death and the job is so much fun to play but turning on grit feels so goddamn sloppy
