I'm hurt qq ;p
But frankly I don't notice it. Maybe it's because of all the "cast" noise that is somewhat annoying...

After so many hours your brain filters the sounds automatically.
It's when you rarely play melee/bard that you notice it.
I always notice it when I'm playing my tank alts and I wish there was an option to shut my kitty up.
In WoW it was easy, I just modified the game files and replaced sounds with empty ones.
Oh and hello Asny! ;)
I changed alot of the HUD when I started playing. Waaaay to much crap on the screen.
not worse than NIN on FFXI , Utsusemi:Ichi (insert narutard roleplay text here) -_-
or drk anouncing every !$!%!% CD ....or provoke macros used provoke....provoke 15....provoke 10s.... provoke 5s.... provoke ready!.........aarggghhh!!!
i remember a whm with a macro on cure..... Cure >>> <t> (name of the party member being healed)...pffffffff took 5 min until the whole party stoped pulling to tell the whm to stfu lol
use ECHO DAMMIT
Well it does make sense to announce certain tank cooldowns.
The DRK thing that grills you if you don't get enough healing would be an example.
Never understood why tanks macro'd taunt though (Raidboss tank swaps excluded). The dude that pulled aggro will notice if the mob stops hitting him.
Easy to notice - big giant red buff icon - if it goes away without a big giant grey icon you have nothing to do, if there is a big giant grey icon - benediction and move on.
This is really my main reason to level up all jobs - it helps a lot to understand what certain cooldowns do - if I'm healing during a pull and I see a tank pop a CD and I know what it is I can adjust - i.e. will a regen work and I can DPS a bit or will I need to keep topping them up more.
I blamed Naruto.
