[GM] Please take notice. Make statement on housing.

TBH, sometimes support will give wrong answers to reports (and, like you said, its really easy to photoshop messages...). I know at one point they said that you can't kick people except for the stated reasons, no exceptions, but the official stance is different now ("playstyle differences" is a valid reason, even though its not listed, for example).

As bad as some make it, there's no reason to say that selling houses/plots is against ToS. Harassing people over it can be. But just trying to sell it? You'd have to makechanges to the MB too, with people selling things worth a few gil for millions.

And no, I'm not part of it. If you think the price is too high, don't buy. People will complain no matter what, even if all houses were bought "legitimately"

This is all too true. Even with proof people seem to just believe what they want. They think just because SE doesn't have a pushy stance on it means that people don't get banned. They do. I've seen it and heard about it happening. Its nothing like 'OMG permabanned'. It seems that SE has quite a lack of involvement in actually taking corrective action with all things against TOS.

Because it makes the poor system in place look even worse. In the past they have never said one way or another.

This is also why the live letters are crap. Instead of stroking the egos of the development team they should be answering real questions when they come up. Also to the people who respond they need time off. Guess what when a division is disintegration before your very eyes. You have to come into work.

I wasn't bashing you, just reflecting on the logic of selling land being against ToS. I did go back to look at your screenshot again and the support message says that selling land is against ToS, but doesn't specify if that's selling for in-game currency (I could understand selling a house for cash would be). Anyway, I'm all for someone clearing this up. Hopefully the answer from the FFXIV team will be consistent.

Oh no no no! I was referring to my Reddit post in which people were in blatant denial about the proof I showed. I put gil in my GM call, which I'm going to assume the response was for both. People are literally telling me I'm stupid. It's disgusting and one of the main reasons I dislike the community so much. There are poisonous people like that spread all over the place.

More wards and private apartment housing in future patches is already a pretty big statement if you ask me. My what ever you have on top give it a shake. That is the same canned response you get from people who have no real answer or know the answer is crap. A real answer is X wards on X date will be implemented. It will be its own patch. What realistically we can expect is bare minimum with one more ward and houses gone in an hour and them ignoring it again for 18 months. Ignore might be a strong word, come up with no solution for 18 months.

There are huge differences between run selling and house selling. Housing is very limited, run selling is not. We can look at certain people who are making it known they're buying many houses, and to groups like a certain griefer hunt linkshell/FC here on Balmung that is hoarding houses and selling them at extortionate prices simply to grief.

The player base is clearly not mature or considerate enough to be given free reign to handle housing in such a limited form. And as such, the system should be enforced as it's intended to work.

This is exactly why I've posted this. The difference is extremely clear. SE's neutral stance says a lot about their lack of care for the players lately.

Whats more profitable?


Running a dungeon 2000-3000 times at level 60, or buying and reselling a new house.

Awnser:
They are the same price profit margin, one is just 4000x harder.

If it was against ToS then people would get banned for it...and I've never heard of any action being taken against it.
