Vote kick needs to be adjusted

Truth Behind Vote Dismiss
1- In Low Party dungeons/trials, only ONE other person has to vote 'yes', 2/3 for majority.
2- In Full Party trials/raids, THREE people need to vote 'yes', 4/7 for majority.
3- Automatically it counts (Party Minus One) because obviously the person getting voted on would vote 'no', and they don't count.

To OP: Sadly it could've been the other DPS, the Healer, or both that voted to kick you. For the thought on harassment, some tanks are so anal about them being the ones that pull they consider anything else griefing, which is considered harassment. Then there's the whole "GMs don't interfere on play styles disputes" thing, which is what I would assume the majority of the people they talk to about those claim that. Since the GMs aren't allowed to disclose the results of the investigations, we'll never really know the "normal" excuse.

That would require a constant moderation of the game, which is not even remotely feasible. Putting aside the obscene costs associated with such a system's implementation, it still comes down to subjectivity interpretation of the scenario, not to mention it would take forever. What you're asking for isn't realistic. The vote kick is fine. You just happened to come across a jerk. That's all.

Soooo basically you were kicked for running ahead of the tank and pulling mobs? I see no problem.

Yeah sure the Tank was a jerk for trying to kick the healer while he was checking stats on a piece of gear, but why were you pulling mobs? Was he really making you wait that long?

As a healer, I'm sorry, but depending on the situation you're not only annoying the tank you're annoying me. If someone persisted to do this after being asked to stopped I would vote kick yes. Should he have asked you to stop? Yes. Did he? No. Yes it was a jerk move but so is pulling mobs ahead of the tank.

Would you like it if someone did this to you as you were tanking? As always... treat others the way you wish to be treated and lead by example.

It sucks you got kicked from the duty, but it happens. Not everyone is going to be peaches and cream in DF.

To be fair, he said "accidentally".

Honestly the amount of times I've accidentally shot an arrow at an enemy or have walked two steps too far and aggroed a bunch is embarrassing, so... yes accidents do happen.

Also sounds like it only happened once, due to the wording. But who knows.

I miss the good old days when I would get kicked as a tank and instant quee back into the same group out of defiance.

That is completely impossible. SE would have to hire an absurd amount of GMs to monitor vote kicks. From a business stand point it makes no sense to hire that amount of staff for one aspect of the game.

I get it. Getting kicked sucks. But there is nothing more that can be done for the system. It works the same in any MMO and I doubt it will ever change.

Easy...well...not really "fix", but something to reduce abuse.
If you don't count the kicked player in the vote, you shouldn't also count the one that initiate the vote.
So, in 4 people group, the majority would be 2/2 (So, everybody say "yes" except the kicked player)
And in 8 people group, the majority would be 4/6

If someone is really messing around or disconnect, it won't be hard to obtain everybody's vote. But, if you just kick someone because you "felt like it", your vote will probably be rejected.

out of four people, even if one doesnt vote or vote no..the other two voted yes..you are kicked equally, you dont require the unanimous decision to kick.

If the healer voted no and the other two voted yes you would be kicked the same.

Dont accuse without being sure is actually the case, saying the healer voted against you is not something you are sure 100 % unless he said it.

To fix it

- remove the kick option entirely and have GM brought into the game in case of anti-game attitude and have GM do their job
- have GM analyze every kick..

as it is too much hassle and not enough people to do so. So SE choose the road of ...*we dont care*....

There's like, five GMs, this would be impossible.
Especially since most kicks are "they're a brat" "but they're a jerk". I would just kick everyone out of the instance if I were forced to literally go and physically investigate each vote kick.
