Might be true if people made 2-star stuff that isn't for themselves. But they only make the crafted gatherer and crafter i170, and perhaps the combat i180 for glamour. Nobody sells the finished product. Nobody buys the finished product. Therefore demand isn't big, supply is zero.

Also, I can easily get a stack of aethersand in probably an hour or aetherial node farming, I just don't like to for 5k items. I would for 200k items though.

No, what I had an issue with is that I had just finished getting all the materials to make 2 of my body pieces, and all I needed was the landbourne, and got a nasty shock to see the price hike.

As others have said, if the price hike happens after patch hits, that's 100% fine because it's to be expected, but changes that haven't happened yet in game should not be allowed to affect the market board ahead of time.

Times like this is when I wish we had a more regulated market, free markets are just so easily abused.

So ask a dol friend, in this case btn, if they could be so kind as to retrieve one for you....bet you could work a deal.

Also, another way of looking at the patch notes is this, some prices actually dropped/more people listed some items because they realized once the patch came, those items would drop in value/be easier to get. So really, depending on what you needed, this could have worked in your favor. Also, everyone, had the weekend to get themselves sorted out and prepare...as opposed to a select few who had the time/drive/schedule to log in at patch launch and play Market Board Money Traders.
