You can only have three specialist crafters active at any given time. Switching specialist is extremely costly and can only be done less than once per week by spending red scrips...imo it's not even an option.

If materia goes down in price I will definitely start melding. But you will need materia IV to reach caps or even come close to it.

Example Astral birch Ring HQ (the "easiest" to cap)

Cp 23 (cap 27)
Control 0 (cap 8)
Craftsmanship 0 (cap 9)

You need one CP IV + 2 CONTROL IV + CRAFTSMANSHIP IV + CRAFTSMANSHIP III

the last 2 slots for overmeld is gonna be the pain . You probably gonna waste 50 or 40+ materias and that's where the money I gonna go.

Trying to cap other stuff is even worst. I know people that got at least 2 characters fully melded but I know they have at least 200 million saved. Materias in my server aren't cheap specially control and cp IV.around 120k

No need to rush. 3 star recipes are coming in patch 3.2, by that time I'm sure SE will give us a way to easily obtain tier IV materia. The real problem is tier V materia.

You can`t get more soulstones, just trade the one you posses for a diferent one.

And im all up for that. Whats the point of specializations if you can specialize in everything? These are good changes.

I agree but I am still surprised on the level of easing they did. I rofled pretty hard, but now I can help gear out my friends with slowing my progression. :)

Yes sorry typo on last materia. Still rest is a money sink. I'm gonna wait and carry crafting for money with what I've got.

Red scrip gear is not too bad. My other concern is if I started making MH and melding away ... What are the chances of getting abrazo there lucis like tool :/ I'll probably just hang myself lol

For the most part, I think Tier V is going to be used for the next set of gear. If it turns out that tier iv will be easily obtained, you can just use those for penta-melds.

I highly doubt that you would need to fully cap your i170 gear to meet the 3* requirements.

Did they mention anything about being able to convert into T5s now?


Also mature, I would suggest just melding accessories and belt from there make all your now easily accessible i170 (yay) and stock materia for 3*
