Uncap Big Fishing, Please!

I do love the new FSH skills no doubt, they're awesome (though I think Patience II is a little worthless... I mean 80% chance of HQ fish but 75% chance of rod not being as effective? Heck it's already a pain to snag some fish and the GP to use the skills to debunk the effective take too long to restore and you have a short window to use Patience and Patience II so Patience I is by far the best one to use) though I am confused about the difference between Powerful Hookset and Precise Hookset, only one cost more than the other and the description of the skills doesn't really explain the merit of using on over the other except it doesn't affect certain fishes.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect in a vertical-progression game like this one for content to get easier over time. This includes big fishing.

nah, i use patience 2 a lot now. it depends on the fish, how often it bites and how fast (more GP recovery if it bites less often). if you have enough GP (i use very cheap lvl 50 buffood for GP) you can use it more often. with food i have over 670 GP. i use patience 2 for thunderbolt eel, this tounge thing in dravanian hinterlands, tupuxuara farming... no problem, i have enogh GP to use my poerful hookset everytime an fish bites. not enough for the precise hookset. but i think it's only a matter of time until we have better gear with more GP.

for using the hooksets: if a fish bites the rod will make a noise and bend. use precise hookset for a little bite. you almost can't hear the noise and the rod will only bend little bit. use powerful for a medium and a big bite. you can hear the rod clearly and will bend far more. wich sound you will get depends of the fish who bite. it's almost the same. so if you want to get a fish with a medium bite don't use any hooksets if you get a little or big bite. just let the fish get away. it saves time and GP while your buff is on.

You are better at your job, simply the fish are not dumb at all.
It allways have a chance to escape, no matter your stats.

The good and bad thing about fishing is that mostly dependent on RNG. It would be really boring and bad implemented if were allways sucess on everything, it then will loose all worth of be fisher.

If you dont like the RNG of the fish then do other things and let us enjoy to we that love the sick and wicked RNG ;)

ALSO the quests where u give those rare and legendary big fish are completely optionals, you dont need do them to advance as fisher, so you only will get achievement when you do them, or rod.

Powerfull hookset ALWAYS works on strong and big bites, Precise ALWAYS works in nibbles

Patience ll allows you to get HQ fish to 100% whenever you Land a fish and is way more usefull then patience l

I have found that, especially when I have to mooch smaller fish, Patience I is much better because it doesn't have that pesky "Catch and Release" buff tied into it. So there are definitely pros and cons to Patience and Patience II.

what's wrong with "catch and release" ? as i know it only makes your fish bigger and has no negative effect

I have maxed out red script fishing gear and they still get away. Guess that's fishing for ya.

How I interpret Catch and Release:

You have a higher chance of catching larger species of fish.

When you want to catch smaller HQ fish, Catch and Release can be bad.
