Definitely sounds like an exploit. Report it.

I figured it was shady enough so I have reported it, for all the good it probably (won't) do. :rolleyes:

I don't think you needed to report it, because the Eorzea Census in August showed that exactly one person had that achievement, and it was clearly the guy you met. If the devs don't realize he cheated, then they must not understand the nature of the game they've created.

His "achievement" was in the official Census powerpoint and displayed during the live stream event.

SE just has no idea how to police a game or enforce their policies.
