true, EU servers should atleast have one unofficial RP server but like the others said, people flock to majority. Balmung has quite a few EU based RP FC's. Besides EU has many different languages while NA has mainly one. Not every EU member knows english and vice versa for english speaking folks.
Maybe you can try? If your interested in RP maybe try colonise some on your server. It could be more appealing to EU players, I've always played on NA servers since I started playing this game so I'm not sure connection wise if EU is any better, I'd imagine it should be.
I think having an EU-RP server would be good (and as far as I know, there are a few RPers on Odin, Phoenix and Cerberus), because currently it is really scattered. From what I hear, Odin attracts raiders, so if we don't want there to be character creation lock outs like in Gilgamesh, Phoenix (High Population) or Cerberus (Mid/Lowish Population?) are probably the best bet.
Ok ok, say you want to start one on a different NA based server, which one would you choose?
People, for the longest time were saying that Brynhildr was on the rise for RP but it's really...not.
If you're going to do this, why not go to an extremely low pop server like Jenova or Zalera? People would have no issues making characters over there.
Also, if you can't afford 3 transfers, have you considered starting new characters on these servers and going the old fashioned route?
Lamia server had a small RP community at one point (I know because I accidentally stumbled on a party doing a thing at Urth's Fount.) I don't know if they're still around.
I deliberately left Balmung because I'm just not that interested in RP.
The cause of the 'split' was because 'Legacy' status. They didn't want to 'be behind' and felt that because Balmung had an established community we would 'ignore and push them out' because 'established cliques.' It was a spiral of mud flinging until finally the game launched and guess what? It didn't matter anymore for some reason. -rolls eyes-
