Another Unofficial RP Server???

As I am aware the only known RP server's are Balmung and Gilgamesh. I was wondering if it is possible to declare another unofficial RP server. I know some people make alts in these servers for RP because they don't want to transfer their mains over but what if an RP community comes to their server instead. Probably ridiculous to suggest but why doesn't every server just have an RP community or start one? Why do they have to cluster to Balmung or Gilgamesh just because people from 1.0 decided thats where the RP should be?

At the risk of being trolled or educated by more veteran players, I would like to suggest people who are not on Balmung or Gilgamesh and are interested in RP without transfer start your own communities on your main server. It's a long shot but maybe people will scatter and find the right fit in another server instead of sticking it out in Balmung or Gilgamesh just because RP'er's are known to be there.

Because building a new community is a monumental task which requires not only a solidified group, but one equally committed to enduring a very slow grind. Most people feel the effort is either doomed from the start, or would just rather transfer into Balmung, where roleplay is already abundant. You also have to appreciate this is a niche hobby. The vast majority of FFXIV players do not roleplay, and likely have little interest in it. Such is why we don't see roleplay on every server. Short version: while a nice idea, it just isn't feasible.

I will try, but not any time soon since I can't afford 3 world transfers at the moment for me, my girlfriend and her daughter.

This is actually how Gilgamesh became a secondary roleplay server, though drama played a significant role from what I hear. The problem is still getting people onto the server and actively roleplaying. When you have an option already decided to roleplaying, most people prefer it to attempting to build a whole new community.

I've seen roleplay sometimes here in Gilgamesh but otherwise.. I don't see it at all. It must be kept private or something. At most I've seen a pair RPing or a little party of 5 in the city-states. Once and only once, was one time I was in at the observatorium and I walked into one of the houses and there had to have ben like.. 30 RPers in there.
