Calm down, the language is unnecessary. As far as do I read the patch notes or not, I do... and I don't. Unfortunately SE struggles to summarize and keep patch notes in an easily accessible area or post until right before or after patch. They are often scattered around and I do find it difficult to locate them. I'm used to finding patch notes in the patcher, labeled as patch notes.
Also understand that just because it's going to be fixed later doesn't mean that it's a non-issue. As with point 15 that you mentioned, Vespar has the right of it, that should have been either hotfixed or added to the expansion during launch.


If you find point 12 upsetting then I'm assuming that you're one of the many people who refuse to research fights and assume it's okay to inconvenience seven other people by standing in aoes repeatedly. I assume this because you failed to support your arguement at all or even provide the slightest bit of insight. I'm sorry that you're so upset, but I really have no way to respond to your anger.

Thank you, I felt exactly the same way. I'm finding more reason to grind it out now (the DRK job quest story was really fun through 50, beyond 50 looks fun too). Thank you for being much more mature and calm :3

Main problem as I see it is the end game, or lack thereof. There just is not enough.

I think people may be hanging up on number 12. I anticipated as much but probably should have fleshed it out a bit more. The simplest solution that I can think of (not necessarily the correct one, mind you) would be to add cross-server functionality to PF, allowing us to use both DF and PF as intended, but heightening the functionality of PF. Is this a perfect solution? No, of course not, no such thing will ever exist. But it would keep DF running much as it is now, while helping players like myself struggling to find endgame groups meet up and continue to farm content. Your thoughts?

Your rhetoric just screams elitist trash and that's why I stopped taking you seriously. I'm also on A3S and have cleared all raiding content before any implementations of echo and/or nerfs. So much for your assumptions.

4 - DUNGEONS

Good news on this one as we are going to get more of them. I agree that 2 for expert roulette was a bit of a let down at expansion release.

6 - TRIALS

They don't seem to be that much harder or easier than any other fights that have existed in the past. Primal fights are mostly about rotational execution rather than a DPS check.

15 - NO EXPERIENCE FROM ARR DUTIES

I know I read somewhere that this is being fixed in 3.1. Level 50 duties will now give exp.

9 - SKILL BLOAT

This one is really job dependent. I know on WAR i have virtually no bloat and I use every single skill. There are definitely classes that have quite a few useless skils. Which leads too....

10 - DRAGOON SKILLS

I'm still not sure how I feel about BotD. On one hand I actually like that there is a skill based modicum to the DPS ceiling of the class. I seperates the men from the boys if you will. It's not that difficult to keep up and really DRG doesn't suffer nearly as bad as BLM if they drop it. I will admit that the introduction of the skills was a bit wonky, but in terms of skill bloat then they really don't need anymore skills. If they would have introduced them at the same level then you would have had a level with nothing? That woulda garnered even more complaints. I think it was meant to be more of a introduction into the complexities of BotD then a slap in the face for leveling. Alot of people took it as such though.

13 - ARMOIRE STORAGE / MB LISTING

I agree completely here.

11 - CRAFTING/GATHERING SCRIPS

I haven't crafted because of this in general.... so I agree.

16 - NO MORE HUNT LOGS?

I hate these with the passion of a thousand suns... Good riddance.

7 - WEBSITE

Agree here too.

12 - BADDIES

It's gonna happen in DF and I get that. We need a better way of filtering out people in PF. PF could be so much more than it is with some very simple adjustments.

I feel as though you responded to my thread after reading the first sentence and then scrolling through it. You provide no examples or logical arguments to respond to. This thread is a rant, yes, I stated that very clearly at the top. I apologize if you missed that. I understand that many people will not read it, that is fine with me. I would like to know what the 'blown out aspects of the game are', you failed to list any examples of this. 'if the game irritates you that much..' I feel I addressed this with my closing statements, you should read them. 'magnificent wall of text...' Thank you! Surely it is no less grand than the Great Wall of China, but thankfully built with far less slave labor. This is humor, please relax lol.

Pray keep in mind that everything you shared was an opinion with no supporting arguments. Some of what I posted was an opinion, certainly, and I've began with my supporting arguments for all points. If all you intend to do is troll, flame, and hate on me for posting my own thoughts and opinions then I'm afraid I can offer you little in the way of hospitality. I'm afraid I do not follow you entirely. On my server, many players went to north thanalan to grind from 50-55 instead of running the 51-55 dungeons. Perhaps your server was different??? Spamming level 50 dungeons is actually significantly slower than farming Northern Thanalan. N. Than remains the fastest place to level till around 55ish.

Much of my arguement could have been summed up with this. Having reached endgame early I find myself frequently bored. I'm hoping 3.1 will fix this and other things. Thanks for the simple but extremely accurate post!

I'm far from an elitist, but I do have basic expectations of people. If expecting people to research endgame content and be able to learn in a timely manor is elitist and offends you this much then I think we should both be glad we do not run together. As far as the assumptions go, if you post nothing but unsupported opinions and hateful speech then you should be prepared for people to think poorly of you. Getting offended by it makes little sense. You should relax and probably go read a different topic as this does not appear to be healthy for you.

I guess you're right about DRG, my bitterness towards that really is simply in how it was presented. The abilities themselves are actually really good for our dps and I love how they extend BotD. You're probably right on this one, focus on the positives of the skill and less on the introduction, no matter if it was a bit frustrating at first.

No love for hunt logs? Thats a shame... but now that you mention it I did get a bit burned out on them when leveling my last war/magic classes to 50 because I so often had to retrace my steps for ones that I missed. Not a big deal here, just a little bit of a bummer for me personally I suppose.

PF, I'd not thought about additional filtering options... that could be a reasonable addition though now that you mention it. People seem terrified that new players would be unable to learn fights and I feel like I'm echoing that I don't want to penalize new players in any way, we've all got to start somewhere. I just want more options for endgame groups and your idea is one I had not previously considered, good call.
