So, I deleted about 100 people from my friends list and...

Most of my FL are people from 1.0 and FC mates from 2.0. The only reason I've added anyone in 2.0 is because a) can only mail to people on FL or b) they added me first.

The DF and overall inflexibility of content has made the FL practically useless. All "stuff that matters" is confined to FC due to lockouts and learning curve; all other stuff is easy enough to DF.

My list never filled, but about a week ago, I removed about 20-something people who were (Deleted). I DO still have people who I think haven't been on. I leave them there because they may just be on when I'm not since I get home late from work.

I understand the feeling. I joined an FC in October or November 2013. I wasn't doing much with them after the leader and a few others left (although the people then had plans for everyone), so I had wanted to leave but couldn't. I had to just throw away from bond and leave to join a FC that ended up being right for me.

Fun Fact: If it says (deleted) on a friendlist/blacklist/linkshell often it means the person just transferred to another server. If by some chance they ever transfer back, that (deleted) will change back to their name because it goes by a number and not their name. The numbers are unique between all of the servers (like your character lodestone number probably).

Source: Had a few people leave servers and then come back. Their names repopulated on my friendlist on it's own.

Bonus Fact: if you bookmark someone's lodestone page on your browser, it will be able to pull up their page no matter what server they are on. Have fun stalking people! :P

People love to randomy send friend requests just because you were in the same pvp match and such but never talk to you again. What's funny is when you delete them in couple of months (I see no reason to keep them) you are still in their FL and half year later someone /tells 'Can you help with Ravana Ex clear?' and you wonder who is it?

As bad as it sounds.. I've transferred so much, I've never had to delete anyone from inactivity. The transfer does that for me :P.

Unfortunately, I end up as (Deleted) on people's friend lists...

I has just 4 people in my friendlist o_o

3 of my real friends and 1 online friend.

I dont allow randoms in my little friend-list ;D
