Colour me surprised. Well we'll see.

Gosh the things I'd do to be able to chose between casting poses and if my character uses the staff or not. The things I would DO so my cross hotbar isn't just floating skills on the screen.
I'll believe it when I see it.
I want, personally, complete customization of party/alliance frame(think Grid), aura filter(dictate what buffs, debuffs I see) and how they're displayed(I used indicators in the corners of Grid squares to track hots and shields, border color to show debuffs, hp bar color to show aggro) and target frame aura icon scaling.
I want to put an opaque background around said target frame and make my own debuffs bigger so I can see when my damn dots fall off.
I want to make the icons in my buff/debuff frame bigger and separate from each other.
Bleh.
I don't see them actually implimenting the addons till after they drop PS3 support whenever that is. I suspect they will get sony to agree to allowing the code needed for them, this is afterall SE who has had a good relationship with sony since their first console. but alas we will have to wait and see.
I honestly don't care if they ever add add-on support or not. If they do, more power to PC users. If not, not like we'd be losing anything in the process. The only people that would genuinely care if others can use add-ons are those that aren't really concerned about others being able to use add-ons. Sounds back-asswards, but here's the thing. When they do give such support you can guarantee that one of the first mods will be a parser. The 'hardcore raiders' will then make using it veritably mandatory, whether you're in a raid or just a random dungeon. Don't have it installed, they will make sure to point you out and make your time in their 'divine presence' as uncomfortable as possible, if not outright /votekick you. Is there merits to add-on support? Of course there is, but don't expect every player to be upstanding members of the community about it.
Ok I only meant add-ons like change stance if fighting or icons/hud looks not parser.
