First, I don't really have an issue with them removing the extra space for the most part. The extra slots do go a long way to helping with the extra gear needed if you play more than a handful of classes however. But the wording in that doesn't make me think what you're saying, it makes me think it's only temporary until they have the UI completely overhauled and when they take the slots away they will do something to prevent you from losing items that have overflown.

There is nothing in that patch note that indicates the additional space will remain in some form after it is "removed" as they say. They're just going to give you a way to retrieve excess items once the space is removed instead of telling you you're SOL.

i guess they work on a more complex inventory (like armors/materias/crystals/useable) ..should work,but thats just a guess

hello? thats what crafter feel about outfits (its a kinda harsh puzzle atm,just to get halfway outfits together,for all kinds of craftingclasses) and yes,this includes new and old recipes

and once more, all parts of the community have their own opinion, its not that you must like it,but you must respect it,this doesn't make any part of the community bad,or worse. keep in mind, this game is changing for getting paid.if we don't open our mouth now,and stand to our opinions,then they get a harsh wakeup if they start charging again.want that? i don't.
so leave us to our opinions,and leave us express them, as long as we have a slight chance to improve the play-ability for all kinds of players.fanbois alone,wont be able to keep the game alone,it takes more then that.

It is part of the "UI overhaul" as they mentioned. Why else would they wait until then? They want to rehaul the way items are stored, but can not implement the feature before some other issues are taken care of.

I respect informed opinions. Level 50 posters stating how terrible low level experience is, and low level posters stating how there's no gear to apply materia to, both ignoring the way the 1.19 game is set up while trying to play the game as if it was still the same as before, are not people whose opinion I respect.

Sadly, the current forum consists almost solely of those kind of people.

When it comes to the game's future, this patch has had no adjustments that will not ultimately help it in creating a path there. There are a few missteps, but in the grand scheme of things said missteps are still less work to balance than what they had to work on before. Just like balancing the EXP rates was much easier once they made it a static ratio instead of random.

I can't argue against uninformed opinions, but I can argue for facts. Come at me.

Because almost the entire current armor inventory of the game just got nullified, and a huge number of items were added, including all the materia. People are going to need time to sort it out, but once they have time to do that, they're going to remove the additional space.

This is actually an assumption, like if I were to say they're going to make it so equipped gear does not take inventory slots. What was phrased does not say anything of the sort, but you assume it means that.

When the other option is that they aren't actually doing shit about the way items are stored, and are waiting for the UI to be rehauled for no reason at all just to take away the extra space for no reason at all (notice a pattern?)- I can say that my assumption has more ground than yours.

That's a strong possibility, but I can't help but feel both sides of this argument are based mostly on conjecture.

I think we need a Representative to clear this up. Explain what the idea behind this excess storage is and how it's going to work. Will it be player housing? Will it be some NPC that will allow you to take but not give your leftover items? How will it know what items you want in your immediate inventory when this adjustment happens?
