It would be incredible if some kind of accuracy buff was added to Cleric Stance. Perhaps have it run off of Piety so that it can be attributed to something else besides determining how much mana we have. Some may argue that it would make healers overpowered for damage, but that's only because they'd be able to hit things without needing the gear for it. Healer damage kits are vastly underpowered in comparison to actual DPS classes, but every little bit helps in getting a boss down quicker.

I kind of stated I already do all of those things in my first post...so your kind of telling me to do what I have already done.

I haven't seen that response from the Devs but that is basically what I'm asking for, a bit of accuracy on our gear so that we can scale with raids and so that I'm not having to loose 50+ of my main stat and 20,000,000+ gil to be able to hit a target...seriously setting up an offensive healer build for raids is one of the most expensive things in the game, and thats coming from someone who buys a lot of glamour items.

I kind of feel that buffing from piety wouldn't really work as well as a clear cut percentage of your accuracy. We can't expect to just have accuracy for nothing which is what we would get with Piety, having our boost come from our accuracy would keep the way we work our gear fairly similar, different builds for different caps etc.

Hey I feel ya. Glamour is not cheap. The path to looking good is hard, long and full of temptations :p

But as long as your main role is healer that's just the way wind blows. SE designed them around healing after all.

But hey, you're progression raiding. You can be one of the first to sell savage runs xD

Remember we didn't have accuracy on our gear in BCoB, wasn't until 2.2, they are possibly following the same formula.

Also as for expensive I personally grieve for tanks when right side 180 comes out, melding acc is good but not super neccessary, but tanks melding STR is optimal.

I agree that healers need a way to get bonus acc because as it stands now we get the shaft even when fighting monster out on the field. I had a horrible time before HW where i would attack a lvl 50 monster from an Alex chest and i would miss repeatedly. A boost to acc when in cleric stance would give us a similiar boost that Grit, Deliverance, and Shield Oath do for tanks, so why not? The end game raids apparently were designed around the fact that healers were helping dps, so why prevent us from doing so?

Deliverance doesn't boost accuracy. Did you mean Defiance? I honestly don't even know why they made the tanking stances boost accuracy anyway because tanks get such ridiculous amounts of it on their gear (my PLD has 678 accuracy right now even without a tanking stance on). Of course, it fits for us as it's basically in our job description to tackle the mob from the front, where the accuracy requirement is the highest.

Accuracy can definitely be a struggle for DPS at certain points during the gear upgrading process though. I know I've had times when I had to wait to swap out a piece of gear till I got a different one to replace lost accuracy, or face up to the fact that I was going to be missing. A lot. Because of that, it seems really unbalanced to do something like making magic attacks always hit (this would impact black mages and summoners too, making them able to stack more crit/det) or giving an enormous accuracy boost to Cleric Stance.

I'm not even really sure why they dropped the pittance of accuracy from HW healer gear, honestly.

My bank account is already crying. It'll be worth it to get out of these fending pieces for progression, though.

Probably been said tons of times already, but please add ACC to cleric stance. Lots of ACC to it. No need to alter our gear when I think that's the simple solution.

I also play SCH and enjoy the DPS aspect of the class.

EXACTLY! I've missed with Ruin II & Energy Drain etc in Neverreap & elsewhere. This isn't top level Savage raids we're talking but every day content, much of which is compulsory (like killing open world mobs that will kill you otherwise). Having 350 acc when in some of the best gear for Scholars just isn't good enough.

What little it counts, certain abilities without initial potency, such as Shadowflare and Bio will have a 100% hit rate, last I checked. They're unable to miss, supposedly because it is simply a status effect.

Now why Virus can miss while only being a status effect is beyond me.
