Well, I don't think it would really be a slap in the face to whm's if ast were to get 1 single CD that was better than theirs. They may have to drop the potency back to what it was pre 3.05, but otherwise it wouldn't be all that much stronger considering whm's version still lasts longer and they can cast theirs, while ast would have to physically position themselves for theirs. Meaning the whm version, being safer and more convenient, would still see more uptime than ast's.

As far as uniqueness goes, I'm sure we would all love to see that. However at this point I just want whatever is functional.

Seriously, who cares if we can do something better than WHM or SCH? Both of them have superior healing capabilities in every way, shape and form. I'm echoing that sentiment. Questionably effective card buffs that are dependent on RNG to begin with don't warrant such a flagrant outclassing.

One healing cooldown is all I ask for. Or make lightspeed lower the GCD. Either of these will be vastly beneficial.

Here, here. It's ridiculous the sort of cowed attitude some ASTs seem to have. If we have far less cooldowns than the other healers, the ones we do have need to make up for it.

Lightspeed needs another buff, eliminating the gcd or lowering the gcd would turn it into our glaringly missing throughput cooldown. That alone would do wonders for our healing efficiency.

The cards need to be buffed, RNG eliminates any possibility of them ever truly being "overpowered".

We are not strong enough currently to justify taking along in serious progression content. That needs to change, and so does the attitude that it's ok to be completely not worth taking over another healer, period.

I don't really understand why SE is dead set on keeping this skill it's clunky very situational and doesn't have anything to do with the job identity. Honestly it should be replaced into a emergency heal of some sort.

Astrologian overall is a failed hybrid experiment that should have never happened what we needed instead is a new healing focus such as the best HOT but SE kept adding more HOT to white mages which basically made it a focus of the job

Please don't change the animation. Just enhance the effect. Make it more powerful for the trade off for the animation lock. Make the bubble bigger or make the heals stronger or both. I love how the character closes their eyes when they use it. It really draws you into the persona of the class.

Looking at it stand alone and not 'The bandaid that makes ast good' all it really needs is range. The free pricetag means a lot and it's generally strong enough to get the job done. It's just how often do you have everyone squeezed in that tiny radius? It'd be really good if it could just hit everyone regularly.

Though I would miss the totally sweet looking bubble.

Have it extend all buffs you placed for as long as it's channeled.

This means in phases where you only need a solo healer, you could potentially Expanded Balance your team and then CU it to give about 30 seconds of increased damage. That would be worth channeling. Diurnal would have the added benefit of extending HoT timers.

It still wouldn't be worth it. Especially in Noct.

There is no situation in which a channeled 200 potency Regen is going to be more useful than a single Aspected Helios and retaining the ability to still cast Benefic on the tank, with the exception of you being completely OOM and really desperate for some healing, I guess.

This. Make it you get personal refresh MP buff, and or make it give phys/magical dmge/def buff +5% for everyone inside or something, just don't change the animation.

I really like this idea. Maybe while in it, timers are frozen (but still active) and resume when spell wears off or you walk out of CU and adds the amount of time that you sat in CU for a max bonus total of +18 sec added to all active cds while you were in it. Also maybe add crit immunity to CU while in Noct stance? +10% dmg redux as a channeled spell is incredibly bad... or maybe you take 50% less dmg from all sources while channeling? Dunno, needs something else.

Maybe 10% Reduced Damage and it applies an 8% max HP shield every 3 seconds?
