what about turquoise thinking about pink mage D:
Yeag geomacer would be great but I was a bit sad that they added aero 3 and stone 3 to white mages.
Why?
Green only existed to hold buff and debuff skills, that's all. They were made by ripping spells out of White/Black and Time(which itself made by ripping spells out of White/Black) schools. They really had no purpose other then clean up FF XII spells list. Even in FFT A2, they just got other Job's abilities. It's a wholly redundant Job. Maybe if this game ran with much larger group sizes they might be of use, but mostly would ride pine unless they could be used in a Job stacked Burn Party.

Not really. AST is a healer designed to be a sort-of WHM and a sort-of SCH with a card RNG gimmick. Ideally Green Mage would be HoTs and manipulation of HoTs.
We're sort of lacking in the healer and tank department, which is a consequence of the FF franchise putting all its chips in WHM. There's still a couple of options for healer jobs (aside form Green Mage, Mystic/Oracle and Chemist if they decide to implement another gun job) but they're not exactly plentiful.
It feels like a lot of players simply want a healer with reliable raid utility. I think the AST fills this niche pretty nicely, having some damage ability (but not enough to really matter) and a lot of buffs (even if they depend on rng).
If you want a class completely devoted to buffing/debuffing, keep in mind those buffs have to be powerful enough that they essentially let you take over another class (either doubling the power of the dps, buffing a DPS to tank, or removing the need for a healer).
Honestly, the class is going to be very complicated and will definitely break the system when it is abused by the playerbase. And for all those players who think their peers will play nice and play the class as it was intended, just remember how Hunts were used in 2.3 or the warrior and blackmage requirement in 1.0. It hurts even more knowing that the players in 1.0 were the nice players.
It's much easier to tack support abilities to an existing role like healer or dps, but that's almost the same as a Bard or AST. Maybe we should just bring back the Bard with a healer LB.
