Need some help getting to 530 collectability.

the best rotation i know for red scrips when you have the ideal stats (115 from unbuffed methodical) is actually:

UC + SM + Impulsive -> Impulsive -> Impulsive ->
................(if at least 1 Impulsive gave you buff): UC + SM + Methodical.
...................................................(if all failed): UC + DE + Methodical

In average this gives slightly more red scrips than the other method and you have a ~20% chance to gather with 530+ collectability so you can farm for counterfoils as well while doing your weekly cap.

It's possible to get 530+ with the Discerning Eye/Methodical Appraisalx3 method, though it isn't as surefire as the other.

that caps at 516 collectability (115 x 1.5 = 172; 172 x 3 = 516). with RNG it's possible that a 0-3 of them come out to 530, but that's RNG talking.

Here's how to guarantee yourself two Chysal Greens with enough rating.

Methodical, methodical, Utmost, Single mind, Methodical, Utmost, Discerning eye, Methodical.

Gather two.

I get in the 520s more often than in the 510s, and quite rarely a 530 or better.

this equates to: 10 item wear methodical (115), 10 item wear methodical (115), 5 item wear methodical (115), 5 item wear buffed methodical (172) or 115 + 115 + 115 + 172 = 517. As Shadygrove mentions above, that means actual gathers are more often in the 510-520 range, and rarely anywhere near 530+.

As he mentions, it has a higher expected payout (if you understand the statistical term)for gathers and it averages around 474-481 collectability, but when you get two impulsive procs will be in the neighborhood of 522+ (decent chance of getting 530+ collectability... maybe 40%?), and three procs will bring it to 583 collectability. As long as one of the impulsive appraisals proc, you are guaranteed 3 gathers of 470+ with the SM (no matter which one proc'd).



Lastly, as a general tip: it's better to gather as many collectables as you can at a lower tier than it is to sacrifice gather chance for a higher tier.

Just used my rotation and got 530 and 531 on two Chysal Greens.

Works for me.

I guess the only thing left for you to do is try it. I've got 695 perception BTW.
