Once upon a time, it was capped at 300
Yup, people always want just slightly more than whatever they're given. It's always just slightly more so it seems reasonable but it never ends.
Cap gets raised to 450 = people want it to be 500
cap gets raised to 500 = people want it to be 650
People don't want any specific number, they just want X+150 (give or take).
I'm in full agreement that there's a cap. But I don't think it would be breaking the system if people were just about able to get their i200 weapon in two weeks. Doesn't bother me much just pointing out that key change it would make. Getting 450 a week and getting 500 is only the difference between getting a full set (6000 esos) in a minimum of 14 weeks or a minimum of 12 in the long run.
Didn't weapon's only cost 900 Tokens then? The increased cap to 450 is really just an illusion. Regardless it took 3 weeks then and it takes 3 weeks now. They increased the cap to make players happy because they felt like they were doing more. I have very limited play time per week. Honestly I would be happier if I could cap my tokens with 2 or 3 dungeons for the whole week but we all know that won't happen.
Sometimes I wish the cap was higher yeah... but I also feel fine for doing my Ex roulettes once a day and in the end of the week basically having it capped. (Not to say that Alex and new primals give a little bit too)
And thats why it is 450. Sure they could do 500, but then they would rasie the price by the same amount. Because its not about the price, it's about the pace that they want.
Also, you realize it only takes 15 days to get the weapon. Not 21. It it was capped at 500, you could have the weapon in 8 days. In two runs today, I alrwady ran into one person with an eso chest.
Did you literally just say, that it's unfair people got rewarded for putting in more time and effort than you? Because I'm pretty sure, no one ever, woke up and was like "LOL I DON'T HAVE TO WORK TODAY!" And Square Enix was like "LOL here have a THOUSAND FREE TOMES to get you ahead of that Veritas guy while he's busy working, what a loser hahaha"
It probably wouldn't break the system, but it would make progression groups kinda funky, since they've balanced content on the assumption that no one will have weapons for three weeks.
It also doesn't break the game to keep it at 3 weeks.
So it wouldn't break the game to give it to you in 2, but it also doesn't accomplish anything by giving it to to you in 2. Even though it wouldn't break the game, I don't see the point in going out of their way to redesign it if there isn't a problem to be fixed.
