Yeah, they just swapped. I think it's to help with the MP problems. Since Ewer is a refresh now they probably want you using it rather than royal roading it as much for the duration, so giving it the AoE instead which is already more marginalized gives you more of an excuse to pop it on yourself/your co-healer/those poor summoners on Floor 2.

Why wouldn't anyone pick Astro for Alex Savage ?

They didn't need to change noc stance because noc grants 5% healing power, the only thing they can do is make it 10%.

I am disappointed however no collective uconscious change. I heard some good ideas on that front.

Noc is meant to be used when a whm is in party, that's the entire point or if you are confident in your healing abilities. What are they going to do to noc without making it better than SCHs ?

We have cards, we now have cards that does what Bard can. (poor bastards just got the even shorter end of the stick), what can they possibly do to astro other than CU without making us too good ?

I'm quite a bit sad that they didn't even touch noctural sect at all. In fact, they even buffed diurnal sect....

Lightspeed still doesn't reduce gcd but the mp reduction is awesome along with healing penalty removal- you can use it now without being gimp! I am actually kind of sad about the ewer/spire change since the reduction instead of refresh was unique, but everyone else was calling for it so sounds good overall. They didn't touch NOCT SECT AT ALL. Buffed diurnal collective even, but nothing for noct?!

WHY on earth switch the royal road effects....I feel like all it does is screw with our memory instincts. Although I guess they know we RR those more often based on party comp and we don't want to rr arrow....They didn't 'fix' spear either.

Maybe they wanted to play it easy and do more after savage like with other classes? *crosses fingers* It seems like a good start. We shall see how it plays out, who knows maybe it will be more effective than it sounds on paper? But I still feel like the core of noct sect, CU and CO need a little sumthin-sumthin, ya know?

They could always make it 8% or whatever fine tuning.

Noc is currently not worth using even if there's a WHM in your party. As it stands, aspected helios/benefic are worse for you mana and potency than their non aspected counterparts when you're in noc sect. We don't have to be better than SCHs, but we shouldn't be worse than even ourselves.

Then they'll probably make adjustments. They always have when classes were getting sidelined in the top raid content. They've actually been more aggressive with class changes in 3.0 than they were in 2.0. We normally had to wait until well into a raid tier to get any kind of changes and we've gotten changes for a handful of classes before the raid tier was even released this time.

I don't raid on healer personally, so I was hoping this initial push of changes would be enough. But there's nothing here that will really address the frustrations I have with the class in the content for which I do use it. So it's back to SCH for me, even if it puts me to sleep.

Yes, it's a good start but we're a bit far from how AST should be. We still have a lvl60 ability that sounds more or less like WTF, and a bubble that doesn't nerf you but it's not so worth because you can't act. Maybe they wanted to think how they should adjust it because they don't know atm...

I like all the changes but now... SE can directly remove nocturnal stance... how can SE buff even more diurnal? Time dilation, Celestial oposition and Collective spells are useless in nocturnal stance.

With the changes to Ewer and Spire, I wonder if an AST is one of the 2 healers, a party in progression could get by without a Bard or MCH, adding ~100 DPS to that party slot. I think it will, as long as the potency is adequate.
