It's lost when it refreshes twice during a cast, and then you're losing either cast time for your next weaponskill if it refreshes right after a BL or another oGCD (which you have plenty of mind you) if you try to double it up inbetween the GCDs.

That being said, MCH gameplay definitely flows better; they don't trip on cast times like BRD. They more or less play the same anyway since their overalll damage output is designed around using WM/GB when you can. Movement for either classes isn't that big of a deal since you can just turn it off anyway if it comes to it.

Bard has a more reliable burst regen in form of battle voice, MCH's eqvuilnant is hypercharge.... which is their dps cooldown. MCH can't hold onto hypercharge for emergencies without suffering dps loss.

It's 1.5 second cast on a 2.5 GCD, with the GCD starting when you begin a cast. That only leaves you with 1 second of of using oGCDs before your next weaponskill (which will be a cast unless you have a straighter shot proc) You can't use oGCDs during a cast. You can't immediately start a cast right after a oGCD due to animation locks, nor can you immediately do a oGCD right after an oGCD.

It doesn't weave well because you can't fit two oGCDs in the span of 1 second after a cast, not without it clipping into your next GCD by a split second to a second (which adds up in long fights).

MCH's split shot has a much shorter animation in comparison to Heavy shot that they wouldn't run into the same problem even with a GCD of 1 second. I'd go nuts if MCH had the same problem as straighter shot procs. I wouldn't mind holding off casting my next heavy shot if it didn't mean holding it off for .5-1 second (which again, adds up over a long fight) It bothers me from a design standpoint that you'd add something that does not build onto a class, but instead go against it. Doubly so when both counterparts of the class play more-or-less the same because of it.

Gauss round has a higher cool down which does not scale with skill speed. Empyreal arrow cooldown goes down the more SS you have.

You have barrage and the ability to que it up with a 220 potency skill.

Song vs Promote advantages are meh, we have instant stationary TP/MP regen, while you have mobile TP/MP regen and foes on demand.

Not like having heavy/bind means jack shit since most dungeon/raid mobs are immune to CC. Sure MCH has more utility, but it doesn't mean they're necessarily useful.

I did not know that agreeing to two minor points came out to be several. MCH Main advantage is its mobility. Fix the mobility issue and as rice has said shorten heavy shots animations and all is good (went and checked after reading. God that pull back is long.)
