Wow - genuinely epic. And i'm at work so I can't even hear it. What's the music like!??!
wow at first i was disappoint, then i see the video.... -drool-
The video is pretty epic. At first I was upset about the patch date, but then I remembered it drops a day before Fall break begins for me. So I get a looong weekend to play! All is forgiven.
I'm assuming the part about delaying guildleve history evaluations means the new system will be held off until 1.19a, rather than shafting us out of the bonuses granted for two to three weeks. Note that he only said the history evaluation would be postponed rather than the entire system.
Here's the original thread which makes the statement in today's letter somewhat confusing:

Oct 4? >.> <.< Dark Souls comes out that day D:! noooo now I will be torn between the two! Regarding the fight though... I can't wait to try it, it looks really fun :D
While I initially was thinking the same, and would rather have the system sooner, what if the bonuses build up to 2-3k SP for completing sequential leves of the same type? If you add up just 30 of those...you're talking a large chunk of leveling taken out of the way post-R30. To be fair, they never said exactly what the bonuses would be, so it's speculation.
Well people were shouting for their 'hardcore' content, and that Ifrit fight looks hard as nails! XD
Shame for the delay, but that video just helps build up even more hype for the release <3
