I agree. We should remove leveling altogether cause it's unnecessary. Actually it's better if we remove gears' stats because we don't need them for interesting gameplay either. That will also make farming mindlessly unneeded and everyone can enjoy the same very compelling boss fights right from the beginning.
Oh wait. Shouldn't we remove trash mobs too? Since they are as boring as leveling cause we keep killing the same thing again and again. Dungeons are also boring because after a few times, they all look the same anyways. They should just make dungeon a straight line and the boss at the end to make things more convenient.

OP you really shouldn't treat your personal opinion like factual evidence, people really get ruffled about that.
Me personally, I enjoyed how Heavensward played out. The 50-60 levelling process was a vehicle for a very good story that I'm glad I got to see. I don't mind levelling at all; in fact I very much dislike the "MMOs only begin when you hit max level" mentality. For me the endgame is the most boring part, because that's where you end up grinding for gear on the same four dungeons ad infinitum. When a new expansion is out, I get to see a bunch of new things and it's all awesome as hell- at least once, if nothing else.
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean everyone else feels the same way. -

I have played 1.0 since day one, capped darn near everything there (minus a few bits, nothin' crazy), so when 2.0 hit I didn't have a whole lot to do (Arcanist! wooo). Sure, getting used to the new crafting etc was fun, but I felt like there was no real progression. I never had this sense that my character was getting stronger, because it was already pretty much capped. Sure I could grind dungeons, primals etc for gear... but that got old royally fast. Housing gave me something so soak some time into, but once my house was furnished I could... grind more dungeons...? D:
I was bored.
When I heard that HW was coming with a level cap increase, I was hesitant at first to lose my all-capped status. I loved how neat my character sheet looked with all 50's. . . but I was bored.
HW finally hit, and a few days after launch I decided to come back to the game and since then, I've been leveling -everything-, and it's been fun! I feel like I'm progressing, I'm learning new recipes, I have to grind a little... and it feels great!
I'm sure that when the next xpac hits I will have the same sense of apprehension about my character becoming uncapped again, but honestly, I'm having too much fun to care right now :3
Also as a side: you mentioned that we have 30 levels on Machinist, Astrologian, and Dark Knight. . . When you have everything capped, even leveling casually, those would be capped in a heartbeat. :( -

I enjoyed leveling up to 60 more than being at lvl 60. Theres nothing to do at lvl 60 yet anyway

The point of leveling is so that you can learn how to use your new skills one at a time, which makes for a smooth learning curve. Rather than someone who never play a caster or healer before and starts at 30 with 20 skills and ends up up being a terrible healer.
