Lemme get this straight on Alexander loot system

@OP - do you ever stop complaining or ranting?

To quote the patch notes

Which means you can get one token per floor. This is four tokens in total.

F1 - Waist/Accessory/Feet Token
F2 - Head/Feet Token
F3 - Head/Hands/Leg Tokens
F4 - Chest/Hands/Leg Token

In the first week you can get an i190 feet and i190 hand pieces because you get two feet tokens @ F1 and F2 and two hand tokens @ F3 and F4. Or start saving up for chest and leg tokens on F4 and F3 respectively while getting a feet piece from F1 and F2.

Etc etc.

This is still better than say, waiting for 10-12 weeks for the one piece of BiS gear you need to drop from Coil/CT/Alex - though I will admit I was hoping for both a loot system AND a token system at the same time (with both on the same timer). Maybe that'll happen for Savage.

sounds too easy if you ask me. I do like guaranteed loot assuming you succeed at completing the content after a certain amount of time.

I never did ARR endgame, but if it was any easier than what I am understanding here then I'm glad I didn't bother.

I've been reading the posts on here all morning, and even the patch notes, and the system still seems a tad confusing to me; but that may be because it's still new and there's a lot of conflicting information out there. Seems to be one of those things where you have to run it before it's easy to understand really. Looking forward to giving it a try eventually though!

Really? From what I gather it is overly simple. You run a dungeon and get tokens. You exchange tokens for a piece of gear.

I guess people are complaining because you are limited to like 4 tokens a week. As in 1 token per boss.

If that's the case, that does seems insanely simple. I wonder why everyone is freaking out? If it's the best gear in the game (currently), shouldn't it make sense that it's a challenge to obtain, whether it's from RNG or difficult fights?

You're welcome. But you still don't have much of a basis to make any kind of judgement, except that it sounds like something you might not like. No offense, but why should anyone care that you might not like a system that you've never tried? If you come back with an analytical argument with some pros/cons I might listen, but right now it's like a blind man arguing that his favorite color is the best color.

The first time, yeah. Then you clear it again and roll against 6 people, etc. The fights are like 10-15 minutes each and pretty easy. If you're doing a pf group then it's probably a farm. If you're group hopping for each kill, then that's kinda your own fault. You don't need a static. There's a huge middle ground that you're intentionally ignoring in order to turn this into something it's not.

The only difficult fight is the last one, and that is only due to the sheer amount of constant damage that goes out everywhere, ontop of a tank buster in the final phase that hits you like a nuke 3 or 4 times. (I didn't count, all I know was I've died a few times just instantly)

The aggravation with obtaining the gear comes in when you have to roll against 7 other people.
