I totally agree! I'm currently doing Neverreap and its really hard to do proper damage especially to the final boss xD
All party members are flying and can't do any proper damage so i move a lot. But i try to cast Enochain anyways.

I actually use Blizzard IV to increase Enochain's timer but its still not that long orz.

I did check over there yesterday and counted three threads filled with people panicking, and I am very inclined to do the same. This new rotation reduces our mobility even more and they've added more aoes to every fight. Playing my job has become exhausting and definitely not fun. Just about every boss fight has me cussing at some point because some dumb mechanic will interrupt my cast or three aoes will suddenly land on me at a crucial point in my rotation (although frankly with as ridiculously tight it is now every point is crucial.) Some unavoidable mechanic makes you lose Enochian? Get ready to have your dps drop by about 40%! For 30 seconds!

I spent a couple hours figuring out how to remap my gimpy keyboard's F keys so that I could stick my 2.0 rotation on them since it looks like we're expected to completely shift back to it when enochian is down. If you play on pc you might consider doing the same.

I enjoy a challenge but this is just miserable. I spend the whole fight staring at my timers, dodging aoe out of my peripherals, and alternately pleading with my spells and cursing at them.

So I was having a fun time reading this tread, it amused me to see people point you in the direction of the place with all the answers (DPS subfourm) and just have you casually ignore that advice. However the last 2 post from the op are absolutely too ridiculous for me to not comment on.

You should NEVER start a rotation using bliz 4 it DOES NOT extend Enochian.

What it does do is SET the remaining time on the buff to 5 seconds less that what it was when it was last refreshed. Meaning the first time you use bliz 4 it goes to 25 sec then 20 then next time then 15 and so on.

Using bliz 4 at the beginning of a rotation is probably the WORST place you could ever use it. I don't even think i could make up fake BLM advice that would do more harm to your DPS than this idea.

Unless i misunderstood what you were trying to say and that's what you were doing. If that's the case disregard this rant.

Also IMO playing BLM is the same as it always has been progression is tough and once you have a fight down and know when to move and when not too your dps shines. It hasn't really changed all that much, also i like seeing 10k+ dmg crits in ravahna.

Well, it looks like OP had a big misunderstanding of Enochian's skill description. Something like that happens from time to time, so it's a good thing we have the community to answer questions like these. There's no need to make fun of someone who isn't aware of all new things yet, nobody is perfect :)
I see your point, of course, but it seems like OP is having a hard time with the added skills - and so do many other BLMs I have recently talked to.

I think it'll need some time until every mage got used to our new rotation since it's a big change from what we had before.

Sorry for being mean. There is no excuse for taking it out on anybody but I honestly had a bad day at work and was definitely not being myself.
