You guys need to remember this is done with new players in mind mostly.... not most of the community with multiple 50's. I do not want a repeat of XI's time wasting quest, for personal chocobos it will be more meaningful since you need to acquire higher rank than recruit, but for a rental chocobo? it is just that, a rental...

new players don't mean anything....... I only have one 50, I want a quest for rentals AND personal.......

A awesome quest would be better then what we doing they pretty much giving it out for free for the one that have 3k lol

Not everyone had 3k seals already.

It's been mentioned by NPCs that it takes seals to gain ranks in companies. So we'll have to do enough activities to go above recruit, then enough that the company gives us a chocobo.

Plus there's nothing saying there won't be same explanation about the blight and chocobo's return.

Mounts have been hinted to be an unsworn activity to include more than chocobos. Someday we'll be able to fully customize and fight along side our mounts. I'm cool with the first step being "earn the respect of a grand company."

A rental chocobo is not something you need to feel you earned it -_-... its not even yours.. its rented.... for the personal chocobo, you have to do maybe several quests to rank up from recruit to have access to it. You level up really fast 1-20. Companies start at 22. so having easy access to rented chocobos 10-22 and what ever time it takes you to get pass recruit is a good concept.

was thinking same as op, though at this point i'm getting tired of complaining ...since that is what it feels like at this point. still happy we finally getting them though. mmo's are forgetting bout the rpg part of mmorpg again. one of the most important parts i thought in ffxi that stood out was the questing and party missions. kewl kewl. /silence.

Might as well make Quickstride last forever and call it a day
