Heavensward Voice Acting

I disagree, I prefer the English voice actors from 2.X. They didn't start off so great but towards the end they got better.

I was enraged when I found out Urianger isn't voiced by Gideon Emery anymore. I found the changes otherwise to be passable. Midgardsormr in particular sounds a lot better this time around.

Yeah, losing out on Gideon Emery wasn't a plus, but I do agree wholeheartedly with Midgardsormr! I'm much further now, and I'm feeling completely sucked into the story because of the voices.

So far this is the only change I'm NOT happy about. Not only because I liked Gideon as Urianger but he also doesn't talk all poetically anymore and all the other NPC's don't seem to notice that he isn't talking in old English anymore :/

I really liked the way he talked :(
He talked like that since I first saw him in 1.0 & now he's just another average Joe ; ;

Ysayle.. IMO whoever that is, is doing a great job with her lines, this go-round (I'm only now in the Forelands, L53...)

Hildas' voice is my favourite imo :), although I do like them all. I think the English translation must've been done at English studios because the whole cast all sounds very English now :p.

I'm not far into the story, but I'm liking the new voice direction and actors a lot.

I have mixed feelings about the voice changes. Some of them are good. For instance, Alphinaud's and Urianger's voice changes were good. Alphinaud now sounds a bit more mature, and Urianger is less annoying for me now (which is odd because I normally love Gideon's voice). But some were weird for me--like Raubahn's.

It was a bit jarring, but I think I'll get used to them. I'm just used to continuity with voice actors in my games.

It does sound like they hired the cast of Harry Potter to do voices.

I'm a huge fan of the voice acting this time around. In general, story, voice acting, emotion of characters etc SE has really redeemed itself from what I (personally) considered a kinda meh performance in ARR.

Only voices i'm not too sure are great: biggs , wedge and (i'm not sure if i'm right that this voice has been changed) Cid. They don't really seem to fit.
Merwylb (sp) fits well now imo.
