Gilgamesh himself actually asks the WoL why hes going along with hildi and just watches whats happening. :P

To be fair it seems consistent with how our character acts in the main story.
I like to think of it as tagging along for the fun, regardless of what ideas my character may have. Lol
I'm sure Briardien concedes to this as well by the end. :p
I always take the view my character is kind of along for the ride. Also she has a kind of faith in Hildibrand to somehow, against all logic and reason, come up with a solution.
Also, as the Warrior of Light, it just wouldn't be right to interfere with the work of the Gentleman of Light without permission. Professional courtesy of course from person of Light to another. :P
Yeah... I wouldn't say it's just the hildy line where our character isn't acting like the sharpest tool in the share.
Of course, we could interpret this as our characters being more of the type to watch and listen when our hand isn't more or less forced.
In reality, it probably has more to do with the player character being a 'blank' and most story action in any quest line being driven by NPCs.
The Warrior of Light bites/blows into the Magitek Mount key in order to summon it.
I dun thank we smart so gud.
Seriously, I imagine it's like most modern cars, you just press a little button and it unlocks your car. The Warrior of Light though? I'm assuming they bite the Magitek key to activate it... Anyone picturing the Warrior of Light as anything more than Lennie Small is just fooling themselves. Our tendency to be ordered about by virtually every NPC, our obsession with small adorable animals (minions), our habit of killing absolutely anything in our path? It's all there. We're just one accidental murder of a key NPC away from Minfillia having to put us down... Oh wait...
I LIKE TO PET THE RABBITS GEORGE!
