Big badies looking like FFxii's dragons (1st boss in Stone Vigil NM and HM, T13) are fire-based as well, and so are the Veganausaurs (or whatever they are called. Step of Faith and Stone Vigil HM last boss). The adamantoise-like dragons seem earth-based, though it's more a result of their weight rather than a real element.

Aiatar (Brayflox) is poison based too.

As for Bahamut, he's fire based usually, though he destroys everything so easily that there is nothing left to burn :p

Actually Bahamut is unaspected as his Tera Flare and Circle of Death do non elemental damage.

I'm fairly sure Shiva did exist based on Dragonsong which appears to be entirely about her relationship with a dragon and how she was betrayed, thus starting the unending Dragonsong War. It mourns her death and Man's tendency to sacrifice peace for personal gain.

Maybe not. We know little (if anything) about the chronology of the dragonsong war. For all we know, some Ishgardians may have started to befriend dragons only a few centuries after the beginning of the conflict.

It's very possible that Shiva was not the "First Heretic" of her time, but became the "First Heretic" after being mired in time. It's very possible that the long war has ruined history and that whatever caused the two to go to war - the "Sins of the Fathers" - could very well have happened after Shiva being friends to dragons (It's also possible she never ****ed a dragon. They might just be saying that as an insult. "in the bed with the enemy", so to speak.)

I'm interested in seeing what the history is like. If shiva was friend to the dragons before or after the war started (Marking her the first heretic after-the-fact), etc etc. <_<
