Dismissed players rejoining the same party

I was running Qarn the other day, as a healer, leveling WHM. I should've seen the fact that the tank had a Zodiac weapon yet had never done the dungeon as a warning sign. Yet, I decided to make the most of it.

I offered advice, patiently. It was ignored. We barely scraped through the first boss, because the wasps were disregarded and nobody bothered clearing Doom. One of the DPS complained loudly the whole time how I "handled" it. Once past that, I stopped to mention we should grab the stones from the side rooms to make the last one go faster. This advice was also ignored. About the most caustic thing I said was, "You're just making this more difficult on us."

And then I was vote-kicked.

So, I shrugged, re-queue'd for Qarn.

I ended up in the very same party. This time, I did say something snide in chat.

I was vote-kicked a second time.

I queue'd one more time. Qarn, join party in progress.

Same group.

The tank then dropped. The ill-tempered DPS dropped. The polite one remained. We were then joined almost immediately by another tank and DPS who were friendly. They required no instruction but explained so gracefully. I got the full XP bonus for clearing it. Cherry on top: Three commendations.

Please, please never change the fact that dismissed players can rejoin parties. It was the funniest damn thing I've ever seen involving incredibly annoying people.

I'd have vote kicked you too for thinking you were worth more than the rest of the party's time put together. He went about it wrong though.

On the actual topic, GMs are really good and fast about responding to pages on such harassment, especially when the person says in party chat that they specifically requeued just to make you miserable.

If there were a balancing issue with players choosing to remain on a class instead of a job, SE would have disallowed classes in DF content past 30. I can understand this being an issue in raiding, or higher level content when a specific tool is required, but having this attitude towards leveling content is absurd. This is obviously a topic to debate in another thread, but I just wanted my two cents.

LOL we actually had a case in T9 where a JP player was making a lot of mistakes, and then started arguing with the other JP players about it. Apparently he was coming off as rude (My friend who was helping me with the run was translating for me) So the whole party kicked him....3 seconds later he popped back in the group. Everyone laughed, then the group abandoned duty.

It was a little annoying to abandon duty because the group itself wasn't a bad group. I just wish he hadn't been allowed to rejoin. I couldn't report him or anything because I didn't know what he was saying. (Tbh I hardly cared...I just wanted to get through the fight)

Here's another issue that's been mentioned / talked about so many times on here, yet has never even received a moderator acknowledgement, much less anything from the dev team. :| /sigh

Largely because there are victims and abusers on both sides of the coin. No clear winner when you punish one group of players over the other.

So because they can't help anyone being vote kick out for no reason they should do nothing to help the people who have to deal with a troll healer or tank that keeps rejoining?
The logic that if you cannot help the victims of both side, you should do nothing and help no one is inherently flawed.

Tbh if I get kicked by trolls, I'd rather not be put into their group again, once I requeue.

THIS.

If I'm the victim of an unfair kick (and, to be honest, I never have been kicked, fairly or not), when I requeue I wouldn't WANT to be put back into the same party as the abusive kickers. Why would I want to be? So I can troll them in revenge? That hardly seems like a good reason to allow it.

Removing the chance to be added to a group you were kicked from seems to be a good thing all around.

Spent an hour in WoD only to be kicked by trolls right before last boss. IDK about you but I feel I earned my chance to get loot/tomes.

But instead you demand that SE makes it so the trolls win.

mmkay.

Is it too much just to not requeue for a bit, so they can't requeue with you? If they were that bad, the party would likely be much better even minus 1 member, yes?
