no. as others before me have said, they would likely just press any able bodied fighter into military service. can't have a bunch of sellswords running around, that would be unsightly.
I keep hoping garlean might one day be a playable race in eorzea however...maybe with a magitek based method for accessing MP.
Me too. I like the Garleans. They have a obvious Roman flavour to themselves, and at least some of them prize honour, duty, and loyalty as virtues. Plus, the idea of pure blood Garleans having a third eye is pretty neat, and their armour is pretty cool.
The machinist would have been a perfect fit for a Garlean.
