If a DPS stays outside to keep hitting Cerberus because "Mah deeps!" or "Kill the big thing!", it's worthy of a kick. There's other stuff going on.
But these days, I stay outside to make sure there's someone to actually work on Wolfsbane (and potentially hold one down while a tank gets swarmed). Fifteen DPS can manage the stomach about as well as sixteen, but one dps is many times stronger on Wolfsbane than zero DPS. And it's pretty common for me to be the ONLY one killing Wolfsbane even after chains.

Where, exactly, is the 'Didn't do exactly what I want so fuck this dude' option?
EDIT: Technically speaking, the GMs throw just about all reports away.
Eh. Half the time I stay outside to work down the wolfsbanes. I dunno about anyone else, but I've seen the adds wipe out the outside group enough times, and as was said, a single dps can make a bigger difference outside than inside.
Huh. OP hasn't replied back to anyone yet.
I feel there is more to this story than we are being told, and none of us can jump to conclusions of it being a justifiable or unjustifiable kick.
I know as much as others do that 1 DPS isn't going to cause much of a change as much when 14 inside the belly. Sure, you don't have that one extra DPS to burn the walls, but it does make a difference when it comes to Wolfsbanes.
Sorry for the delay since I was dealing with RL stuff, though. As far as I can remember, they didn't say anything after we disagreed and just outright kicked him. That was it. I left as well since it wouldn't be fair to him(not to mention I thought they might kick me next for disagreeing). IT'S JUST ONE DPS.
As far as this game goes when it comes to vote kicking, Majority Rules. 2/3 in dungeons, 4/7 votes in raids.
@MXMoondoggie You shouldn't always take 'poor play' as a legit reason to kick someone. Just because they don't play well, does not mean you should kick them straight away(like the many DF people I've met back in Titan EX. I've been kicked more than once just because someone thought I was 'bad' at my job when in fact the tank was having difficulty dealing with Titan's Tableflip since DPS was low). If you help them learn mechanics and their role, you can help them get better.
If it's a pony farm, then yeah, perhaps 'poor play' could be a reason if you repeat-wipe a few times when they should know the fight. But if it's something like WoD or not a farm? Then there's literally no reason to not help those people understand how to get through it.
