So basically, you're saying its only okay to post opinions if they're more popular and people will agree with you?

Oh my god. You're serious, aren't you?
You realize they snag your info just for VISITING their sites, right? Some people, due to the lack of education about these practices, don't realize that. And they lose their info, ranging from just their login up to including their bank info.
There're these thing called "keyloggers" and "trojan horses." It's not about being stupid, it's about being naive.
And people who are naive do NOT deserve to have their lives ruined by internet trolls.
And here's the thing: If there are enough complaints about something that it drowns out all other topics, maybe it's something that needs to be addressed.
It becomes a self-perpetuating problem: RMTs post ads. Players get annoyed, go to their websites to complain, get keylogger, lose account. RMTs strip that account of everything valuable, extrapolate possible info about owner's other accounts, and strip that as well. Then they make more bot accounts and the cycle continues. It's like the zombie internet apocalypse.
It's not unusual for someone who gets tricked into visiting these websites through one reason or another to end up losing thousands of dollars from a single click.
Hopefully they'll address it by banning all the people spamming the forums. Seriously the Anti-RMT spam on the forum is just as bad as the RMT spam in-game. You aren't hurting SE by making a new topic about this every 5 mins... you are hurting other players who are trying to have discussions and use this resource. I have almost permanently switched to reddit because this **** isn't constant there.
Soooo.... you made a whole topic to confront the topics about the topic of rmt.... rather than just posting in the topics about rmt...would it not have been easier to hold up a sign like...

Because now you seem like...

So you can tell people who have a problem with RMT to just set themselves to busy, but if we tell you just to glamour over the blm gear, that's not acceptable?

Personally I hope it continues to happen until something is finally done. There are dozens of ideas all over the place, ranging from the simple like right click->blacklist, to lifting the limit on the blacklist, and the more complicated like the option to block tells at a certain level.
We also need education. To tell people NOT to go to these websites even to "sneak a peek" or "see what's up." I know it sounds like babysitting but given the problem at this point is likely self-perpetuating because of "first MMO syndrome," some education is in order.
People complaining in the forum about rmt spam hurting players ability to use the /tell system.
Other people complaining in the forum about people complaining in the forum about rmt spam hurting the ability to use the forum.
The difference? None. There are alternatives to /tells and there are alternatives to this forum. So if your answer to the RMT spam issue is "deal with it", the same solution holds true for the high number of RMT complaint threads.
