If the benefit of having a Zeta in 3.0 is not worthwhile - new players will suffer

Fact is that I don't know what they're going to do with Zeta weapons and neither do you because they haven't actually given any details. All I said is that people will be pissed off, which is a fact.

Personally I'm inclined to agree that they will probably make the weapons irrelevant but I still hope they don't. Zodiac weapons took more effort and gil than pretty much everything else in the 2.0 series, not because it was hard but simply because of the sheer amount of grinding it required. I hope they recognize that by making the weapons useless they will be giving people a reason to not bother with whatever replaces them.

Yeah, any news of whether or not Zodiac progress will be carried on from 2.X to 3.X is going to piss some group of people off.

If it's not completely carried over, Anyone with a Zeta will be pissed.

If it is completely carried over, Anyone without a Zeta will be pissed.

If they add LOOT to the story quests and primals, even if it's airship parts or something else, it'd solve the problem.
Also people seem to be forgetting that the new raids won't be available for 2 weeks after launch, and that i135 gear will VERY likely be stronger than the base gear we get at 60 (since they've mentioned the current "cap" they have to work with is 200 for iLevels, the new gear at 60 will probably only be i140-i150, with Alexander Normal gear probably starting at 150)

Im sure they will be incentives for at least the trials/dungeons that relate to the story. As far as the other level 50 content. It will prob become a ghost town with over 1hr queues, such is the life of level cap raises.

But remember, they don't OWE anyone 2 relics for the price of one.

All BSM and ARM-made airship components will require at least one Ishgardian Steel Ingot.

I'm pretty sure 2.0 content will be needed for the new Relic quest's anyways.

SE loves forcing us to do older content in order to obtain Relic. Now that 2.0 content will be truly outdated, they'll need a reason for Heavensward folks to older dungeons and area.

If it were up to me - the advantage of having Zeta would be that you have the ability to allocate stats with the 3.0 relic via alexandrite (essentially you gain the 2.0 relic perk). Then 4.0 might allow you to carry-over a perk from 3.0 and so on and so on.

So basically - the Zeta can transform into the 3.0 relic with the ability to allocate stats. Or you can start with the 3.0 relic without the ability to allocate stats (this prevents players from "needing" to do the Zeta grind and provides somewhat of a reward for those who did spend the time doing the grind).

If the above is true then hopefully new players can enter an older dungeon with just two players if they choose to do so, I'm just hoping that's implemented in 3.0 :)

Storyline quest can't be outdated. They are persistently relevant to those who have yet to complete them and are actually interested in what is happening within the lore.

what if after you get a level up, the zeta get also a level up? And the moment you are 60 you have a lv 60 weapon in the hands? ^^
Based on the Zeta lore (alive and aware of itself), this can be possible.
