You couldn't be further from the truth then you are right now in my opinion that is. I tank, and am a well mannered polite person who takes into consideration the situation of others. I heal, and dps as well..so I tend to be mindful of the issues that dps and healers have to go through when I tank. I also realize that dps have it the worst when it comes to dungeon finder...so I try to make it as painless as possible for those folks when I tank. Given what I did just say though you are absolutely entitled to your opinion of course. Maybe some are like that, but a lot of tanks really do go out of their way to help others.

Edit: Also stating that something is a well known fact when it is your opinion is absolutely false.

What kills me is, they literally tell you what to do as you go. The rest should be common sense after a wipe or two.
BUT they should extend the time a bit, by the time you get it together it's too late.
I think people just don't wanna listen because they feel they need to DPS race to the end and you can't on this trial.
so welp......Guess some folks won't be playing HW with the rest of us who can read and cooperate.

I think it's a pretty well known fact that DPS are the dumbest, laziest players in this game and any AoE marker or other mechanic that lowers their damage by even one iota is one that they simply choose not to perform.

Now that we're done slinging absurd generalizations, we can get back to your regularly scheduled thread.

I 2 shotted it going in blind lol. What the hell is the issue? I hear people trying for 6 hours and crap like that. Are players really this bad? I mean do they sit in front of their computers mashing their keyboard like slobbering apes uncaring whether or not their actions will influence a win or loss?

Oh wait... then I remember WoD is still full of wipes. Join a WD group and know right away if it'll be FASTER to eat a penalty and leave than stick around LOL.

But seriously the fight is easy... it's so easy I can't understand this at all and it's depressing me so much =/

DPS are way too skittish. Our ilvl differences trivialize a lot of disengage/reengage mechanics in earlier content, but DPS can't escape their programming and continue to dodge while Second Wind/Bloodbath/Keen Flurry/etc. sit idly for an emergency. Hint: the "emergency" is whenever the healer drops a fat, AoE heal, effectively wasting the self-preservation skill. DPS have enough HP to take a smack in the face and keep on trucking.

But that's not even the worst part. It's those one-macro melee that really cheese me off. Christ, if DPS were any lazier, they would have no pulse.

Guys... this is about the trial the steps of faith... not about bashing dps or tanks or healers... grow up -.- Not every tank, dps, and healer are the same. Sorry for your bad experiences but Imma a bomb ass blm that don't need no mana haha. So get back on topic already

The only thing they should fix about the fight is adding an vote to restart button so you don't have to sit through five minutes of what's obviously a failed run. Nothing about Steps of Faith is remotely difficult, and I hope the dev team don't cave in and nerf the fight.

Lol. My post was meant as a purposely absurd reply to the generalization about tanks. I don't believe it for a moment. I know plenty of good dps players that manage to perform mechanics AND keep top notch DPS.

With that said, yeah I probably should've just left it alone and not replied at all. :3

Anyway, the trial... I dunno. The first day it was out, I went into a party finder that couldn't seem to puzzle out what to do with it. After a few tries, we disbanded. I tried it later on in DF with a friend and one shotted it. A few days later, I went in with two other friends and we were getting overrun by adds because they weren't getting aoe'd with the dragon (the other tank had his off in a pile god knows where instead of underneath it, lol). It's not all that difficult, but if you don't know how to do the mechanics you won't pass it, period.

There's no overgearing and powering your way through this one, which is refreshing. ^^
