How would identify a female player guy/girl?

Realistically speaking, why does it matter? It's not like you're marrying them in real life. You're using some ingame content with them. It really shouldn't be any different than, say, being in a raid static with them. I guess I just don't get why it matters as long as you enjoy the person's company. I believe the Eternal Bond ceremony can specifically be set up to be basically signing a contract.

I wouldn't care if the person I was in an Eternal Bond with was a guy or a girl either IRL or ingame. Two of my friends have talked about Bonding with my character, both of which are female IRL; one is female in game and the other is male. I am female IRL and I used to play a male character, but decided to fantasia to female for a change. When the expansion hits, I'll be a male Au Ra.

Bait them into Team Speak and hear their voice. Like doing Coil or primal farm.

my thoughts exactly. to me thats the only reason guys play as girls.

If it's a male character people actually find hot, it was surely made by a girl player. All the hot male characters I've found so far were made by female players (including my own, I daresay. I get random compliments from complete strangers every week...)!

Does it matter that much you are marrying the persons character in the game not in real life.

I was once talking about random stuff with another player in Revenants Toll, eventually some tangent in the conversation made me want to ask what gender they are in real life. They asked me why it mattered and I couldn't think of a good answer.

So OP, IMHO it doesn't really matter. You'll probably never meet anyone from Eorzea in the real world so it makes no difference, and if you do end up meeting someone then I suspect it'll be because you've become actual friends in which case you'll already know or again, it won't matter.

With out asking people generally give away their gender in chat. Through family, relationships and gender specific words that can point back using a past reference. Also find since I play with my wife women seem to know each other and group up. It is rare to see just one in some sort of guild/fc/ls setting.

It might be interesting as a social/internet setting discussion. If its just away to identify so guys can pick up net chicks, that is creepy.

Ask them when's the last time they made a sandwich?

Lol I already know it isnt a big deal. I just like to know things, and this caught my attention. not only i read a lot of articles of people actually finding love in MMOs, and I was thinking how was that even possible if the balance between male and female players playing their resepective gender is wrecked?
