Little Ladies Day is feminine. Well who'd have thought.
How fragile is masculinity these days?
The world is fine as it is, but they could perhaps make an event targetted at boys in addition to the one targetted at girls. If girls get their own holiday, boys should too.
Only if you have masculinity issues.
I think men are sexualized in a feminine-ish manner far more often in this game than other games we may be used to (western). We're used to men being subjected to the physical hulk powerhouse or amalgamation average joe (Shepard, Nathan) - imo. My wife who does not play any video games, generally, has noticed this as well. Not that it lacks in options for the classic stereotype either, they just have both instead :P.
Luckily there is glamour if you're really bothered by it, unless it is the visual aspect altogether - then you're SOL and have to deal with it (Bikini and seasonal armor still annoys me, though not because they exist but that they are functional as dungeon gear lol).
As mentioned already though, Little Ladies Day is just a holiday for females unrelated to gear variety (imo).
Too feminine? Look at the player base there a lot of female characters which a lot are played by males. I would agree with some other post that your nephews have some masculinity issues.

this one beg to differs about the fact that the game is too girly *nods nods*
Basically your nephews need to get over themselves and not base their opinions on an entire game on a single yearly event.
