WoD tanking is a whole new level of irritation for me. Because if I pick up all adds and keep them entertained until I die (not enough healing/other tank is asleep and Im tanking a crowd of frenzies) after my death adds will go after everyone. Seems logical, right? So when somehow we clear room I get blamed for slacking. Well, excuse me. Vote kick me so I wont slack ever again with you all.
Its not the tank problem, its people problem. Most of the time there's 2-3 ppl in raid who prefer to sit back. Instead you just end up in a raid with 80% of those ppl who want to be carried and ignore mechanics so no matter how hard you try you still fail and get blamed for trying from not trying people.

It's the case of, there are 23 other people here, someone else can do it. After attempt what feels like 30 trying to get the tank armor, I have basically given up on WoD, and I don't need the carboncoats. I prefer to OT so I can DPS out of defiance, but either the other tanks look at my gear and say I should do it, stay silent and wait for someone else to MT, or they lose hate super fast and refuse to MT anymore. Rarely has a WoD gone smooth without me as the MT. But even I die sometimes due to the lack of heals. Some fights I might even get 2 regens!

First time I ran wod as tank(not my main or second) last night... was fun but too many tanks have epeen fights in there... either they ignore adds or they will fight with the other tank for the adds and then the adds keep running all over the place.

Imagine tanking when DRK comes. "I wanna be a dps".

Remove character limit and get more lazy tanks? LolNope. Just preform an alliance or something if you don't wanna deal with DF.
-
I'll reduce it to the least common denominator: "Welcome to the North American Data centers, where it's all about me and everyone else can go you know what themselves." I honestly believe that Yoshi P and the developers aught to block the next 24 men raid from the NA data centers until 90% of the player base registers over 20 hours of youtube videos on how the Japanese players coordinate their 24 men raids.
I had to deal with more wipes and duty abandonments in LoA, ST, WoD on the NA data centers than on the Japanese, which was 0 for ST and less then the number of fingers in one hand. (I can't count WoD on the Japanese because I no longer play on there anymore.)

WoD, make me re-think about request for a bigger raid....

I'm not saying these problems don't exist, but I AM saying that y'all must be exaggerating. Either that or we're playing on different NA datacenters. Out of every 10-15 24 mans I get one bad group, and at that point? I just lead in alliance chat myself and coordinate the raid. Problem solved. Then again, I'm one of those 3 tanks. I normally MT, but if someone fights me, I just go OT, and am prepared for when he dies due to undergearing, standing in shit, or being dumb.
Maybe I'm just casually accepting the general skill level of the DF at this point, but I honestly don't think it's happening as badly and as often as you all think, and I've been around since the start, just never signed up on forums.

lol at the guy who said he wouldn't tank because he "doesn't like doing things."

Trash pulls is WoD are complete chaos. DPS ignore standard mechanics of giving the tanks a chance to control the situation, and tanks are faced with either picking up too many or too little.
It is what it is... Just do your best and take care of your own gameplay, and not worry about the actions of others inside a pug. It's a quick route to heartburn.
