Community - The Most Likely Cause of the Game's Downfall

Now I know lovely people in game, i even disagree with them on certain things in game, but that's not the same as the general populace. "There are worse communities out there" sorta rings hollow when it is THIS community that is being the dick to you in game.

I find this a fair balance. If I can Need on the item, I will only Greed on it. Thus, if another character in the duty can Need and does need, s/he will get it.
I give myself a chance at the GC / desynth but only a secondary chance.
There is one exception, I Need on all craft able gear, like you would see in Cutters, SV, and DD.

Communication is key when it comes to playing with other people. That goes for both side of the party.

If you want something that drops because it’s an upgrade for your class (doesn’t matter if it’s for your main class or an alt one), it’s not a shame to ask if you can get it. However, it doesn’t mean they will have to pass it to you, but there are plenty of players out there who wouldn’t mind passing it to you if they don’t need it themselves (myself included).

If you want something that drops because you can use the seals, it’s considered polite to ask if someone else need it for their class. You can pass it to them if they need it for their class, but there is no rule that you have to do so. If someone else wants it, but doesn’t need it, you can both roll on it fair and square.

But, just don’t expect them to give it to you. Everything is “fair-game” when it comes to lotting on loot. Even if they are allowed to roll “Need” on it, since they they are on the right class for it, while you can only “Greed” on it.

So, speak up if you really want to lot on something. Try and work out a solution with the rest of the party. But, please. For the love of The Twelve… Don’t make a fuss of it when they say “No” or when they get the loot instead. It’s just not worth it. There’s always another “day”.

I'd lot the weapons for gc seals too.

If you're at the point where you're doing HM primals, you should be able to get a relic weapon, especially nowadays where HMs are absolutely steamrolled.

If you're farming a HM primal for a weapon to seriously use and not just to get something for glamours or whatever, you're wasting your time.

You're, again, ignoring what I said. This person was on their first relic, and was hoping to get gear before her others along the way.

I also love how everyone is ignoring the second half of my initial post, on attitudes in general.

I think you'll find she was on about the second part of what SHE said, which is all about the community not just loot, so maybe you should really read what you're typing/responding to.

This thread again; "I'm new so I deserve all the loot!"

Sorry, but you don't. What if I've been farming, say, ifrit HM to get the sch book because I want it for glamour? Does the new sch I just carried through because he stood in all the aoes really deserve it more?
