It on par with what I expected it to be, if it unacceptable for you then move onto another game. Why do people think SE should give them everything for little or even nothing?
$40 is right in line for a non F2P MMO expansion.
Considering the amount of content we will be getting, i am fine with it :)
I didn't expect it to be any lower, I'd have been surprised if it had been.
If $40 is too much, get out of gaming, otherwise you are in for a rude awakening
To put it in perspective, The Competition's latest expansion, Warlords of Draenor, costs $50. The base game and every other expansion go for $20 total.
The price is pretty much within the range I guessed it would be, between $30-$40.
This is pretty much the price most P2P MMO expansions have been for a long time now, also digital versions at launch tend to be either the same or close to the same price as the physical.
While it would be nice if it were cheaper, it is not an excessive amount especially if it does contain the amount of content that Yoshida said he wanted in it.
Plus, as someone else said, many people spend more money on coffee at Starbucks in a week than the cost of the expansion. Not, directly corelated but good food for thought when examing cost vs. value of purchases.
WoW warlords xapc = 40.00 usd on amazon currently. So not like SE is somehow unique. And frankly the feature set of heavensward is arguably a lot deeper/richer then the latest WoW expansion for the same price.
