I've run my fair share of dungeons and I can't recall a single time where someone felt inclined to run ahead and pull. Judging by the fact that you felt like creating a thread about this, I'm guessing this is a regular occurrence for you. Have you ever considered that the pace you set while tanking dungeons might be a little slow?

I pretty much quit marking after brayflox nm where Bane became a thing, and I found it more fun to actually allow people to kill the mobs in decent time. If anything I'd be telling people "you're allowed to dot multiple/aoe" and have the packs dying almost in sync.

That's not what I said, also your main post wasn't pointing at this.
Of course early puller as DPS should not happen and the healer is actually in the right to let the said DPS die miserably for pulling solo.

It will not speed up anything by pulling early/solo if your base team is already "bad or low", having good DPS but poor heal/tank or good heal/tank doing massive pulls but crappy DPS will provide the same result and will set your dungeon speed since the very start. #commonlogic.

She is not a bad tank, in DF targets should be respected, sure a tank should be able to hold aggro when there are BLM doing aoes, but with melee dps, I find it really useless and making the work pointlessly TP expensive for the tank to pull aggro from, any ad will die anyway in the same time if there are 2 dps killing 1or2 each, normally I let that pass if they at least stay near me.

Sometimes, I really hate when they attack another target, pull the aggro, get saved back and later talk all proud like is the best dps ever for dealing so much damage that they pull the aggro away from the tank .-. I'm just there like seriously? maybe I should just let you die.

And when the DPS just run ahead pulling let it die, if they want to make a hard run pulling and doing your job trying to kill everything before they need to get saved at least they should have the respect to talk it out in the start, don't just blame the tank and healer when they die. Sorry my english

Wrong. If dps don't "nerf" themselves and they wipe the group, then the dps are amazingly bad.

Is the tank terrible? Then you tank next time. But if you're too lazy to tank, then at least be a team player and help out if you realize the tank is bad.

More tanks could be better at holding aggro, but guess what ... they're not. Work with what you get. Or keep telling tanks to "get good or go home" and then try to puzzle out why the queue is so long for dps.

I've seen this quite frequently. Often people will rush ahead without shield buffs and die. Its level 50 content, not sastasha. Let's be smarter than to think you're tanking the whole thing as a dps. What is rare though is a slow tank, but i see impatient party members all day.

at lvl 50+ there is no way for a DPS to pull hate in any dungeon from a competent tank unless the tank is plain garbage or totally undergeared or fight-mechanic is designed like that. Low lvls is something different. DPS should never have to hold back ever on DPS at lvl 50+ content. for Offtank DPSing thats a different story.

Both tank classes have tools to pull a lot of hate very fast. If they're not using these tools, the group is dead.
There is ONE exception, and if there's a huge disparity in gear. A fresh 50 tank is never going to pull hate for longer than a few seconds off an FCOB black mage, for example. Unless they're in an iLevel sync'd dungeon, of course.

When I do dps, I have this macro /assist <2> its very helpful when the tank does not mark targets, then which ever the tank shield lobs that's my (1) target then after it dies /assist <2> again rinse and repeat.

Yes. I can ask DPS to nerf themselves. At least untill I've established some solid hate with mobs.

If a NIN goes "balls deep" on something I've only flashed once (and am not chaining), obviously he feels confident enough to tank that mob, and heal himslef.*

*If its a FC mate I might ac/ "cover" them.
