After some more digging I suppose there is some precedent. The bone/coral/horn/red coral/tortoiseshell armilae only have vit and crit, no real main stat like str/dex/int/mnd.. Vit is the main stat for tanks, though there is some debate about that I suppose. I don't see any other pieces like that though, only those wrists.

If they nerf it further, I hope to god they add more guaranteed slots in there. It's stupid expensive to meld already, if they're going to nerf the power, they need to nerf the cost too.

Or they could implement stat caps to reduce the power of the accessories. IE:

i110 VIT acc would have the same STR caps as i90 acc.
i110 STR acc would have the same VIT caps as i90 acc
etc

what's the point in adding the 110 crafted if there nerfed so much there worthless.? cus as stated they will not be easy to craft or cheap to make at least in the short-term

they def need more than 1 guaranteed slot.. maybe 2 as 3 would seem to make them to easy to get max melded.

Huh, since when do we have any HQ crafted gear without main stat capped? That has always been the rule.

If there are IL110 accessories you will definitely have the main stat capped. I think SE will probably follow the IL90 which only gives you 1 secondary stat off the bat, which should be capped as well.

I think you got the % wrong.
For grade 4 materia it should be:
First meld 100%
second 29%
third 16%
fourth 10%
fifth 6%

Going for bis melds (Det4, Acc4, Vit4 x3), on my server the avarage cost would be around 6m for each piece, 30m for total set.
I'm personally going with the VIT ones for my PLD, not that i like parry but i probably like ss even less for pld, and the cost of STR materia is way less than VIT

Calling it right now: Sphere Scroll. Have to meld like 40 materia to a ring with 0 natural stats. Because why? Because they hate us, that's why.

The more I think about it the more I think that what we are going to see is a capped secondary stat, and I think Sir Taint's melds are going to be right, except the fact that I think the extra III materia should be VIT. The i110 caps are 21 for VIT and 18 for STR, so we are missing 5 vit (89hp in defiance) by not triple melding it, whereas we are only gaining 2str for triple melding str.

Now, is trading 5 vit worth 2 str? I don't think so, not when we can probably use the extra vit to drop a crafted accessory for a pure i130 DPS one. If you are seriously progressing, hopefully your group is letting dps accessories drop to you before alts, and you have enough poe to buy some ironworks str accessories.

If you use all i130 on the right (with Ragnorak) you will have 566 VIT and 510 STR without accessories (30 pts in STR). So... really... you only need 2 penta melded 21 VIT 18 STR i110 accessory to bring you to 608 VIT which gives you roughly 10,000 with food not in party (so probably 10,400 in party, depending on Race). That means that if you are a WAR going for BiS bare minimum HP, you are going to be going for 3 (count 'em, 3) pure i130 DPS accessories. WHICH WILL give you another 105 str. Making the BiS WAR somewhere around 10,400 hp and 615 STR. Won't lose TOO much on secondary stats...maybe a few points of crit. The only problem will be getting Accur to cap without using much from accessories.

Either way, if crafted accessories come out with 2.5 in ANY capacity (even with no stats on them at all), its going to be good to be a WAR in a progression static. 350 dps in T13 here I come!

Another question would be how long will these hypothetical i110 accessories be useful? We won't get any more end-game raid content until the expansion, so all these would do is to improve dps in FCoB for the time being. With the level cap increase coming out soon, will these i110 crafted accessories be useful in Heavensward? This is all speculation, but I'll be pretty upset if I dropped all this gil on these accessories and they get eclipsed by the new gear in Heavensward.

That's the smart money, It would be pointless and you would end up with too much VIT with a full set. With the amount of gil I have and the amount of gil I expect to be able to make I'm shooting for 2 i110 2 slaying 1 fending
