Yep, tried connecting again today still down for me. Luckily I'm on PC master race, but if it affects our raid again tonight and we miss a weekly lockout because of it then I'm not really sure what some of our raiders will do since subs are due. Already know of one person that dumped their PS4 over this, so it is affecting their bottom line.
Honestly, people can make all the excuses they want that a DDoS can't be helped or tell people to blame the ones responsible, but at the end of the day customers don't care: they just want the service they paid for. The fact this has been ongoing nearly a week already is pretty unacceptable and has impacted my friends, in-game weddings, and ultimately me. If SE and Sony can't work something out to prevent future disasters like this, then they deserve to lose more customers because in my eyes they're not worthy of our money.
Did you try resetting your modem and/or router?
This seems to be working for a lot of people: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost...ostcount=10289
I can't promise it'll work but it's worth a shot.
Maybe try changing the DNS settings in your router. Lookup OpenDNS for a how to. Some providers could be getting blocked still but by changing your DNS you can bypass their network in a way
Was there any serious lag when they changed it? I've changed mine as it was the only way to log in, but unfortunately it dropped my dl/ul down to 60 KB speed when everything else in the house along with my ps4(before christmas) has been at 30+ MB. For every minute of gameplay, I spent about half of it staring at a frozen screen along and brought back to an inconvenient death! So far, FFXIV has been completely unplayable on PS4 and I'm not sure if it is because the MTU change or the PSN servers in general. I'm totally patient with this, but I can't seem to get anyone to tell me what their experience has been like AFTER changing the settings. Just that it worked. :/
Weird, this works only on Wi-Fi for me, but connecting by lan I can't get online. Oh well...
