i like the healers who know to balance healing and dps while keeping their mp steady.sch might not have problem about mp but some whm keep spamming holy and let their mp too low like less than 1k when shround still on cooldown .. Well as long as no one die,it won't be a problem and i'll give them commendation.
I always give commendations to healers that dps, that bard was a moron.
Especially for physical dps a holying whm can make the difference between running out of tp or not running out of tp on AOE pulls.

Ya, as a Sch I dps when I can. Even just tossing down a non CS Shadow Flare helps kill groups just a bit faster. Or on bosses where I know the tank won't be taking much damage, CS up and toss on some dots and maybe a ruin or two before needing to heal (if ever). Like 2nd boss in Hullbreaker. I take CS off just before going into the bubble, heal everyone after the pop and go back to being a DD :) as long as everyone stays out of stuff, even then Selene takes care of most of it.
Healer using Holy can be the best DPS contribution for the entire party.
Or you could argue that by spamming holy you are healing because the mobs are stun locked, thus the tanks health remains full :)
I also love to dps as sch/whm but since i got once kicked from sasti HM... 2 dps with HA wep did output 0 dps so we wiped 6 times on the antboss 2 times on captn and got kicked after 3rd wipe kraken (ignoring every mechanic is not a way if u cant dps...)... they kicked me because i used Selene instead of Eos to push the little there was...
Well since that i don't do duty roulette expert anymore except when I have a full premade party that crying is not worth it. :mad:
Once they complain about healers not dpsing then they kick us its just a real wtf... :confused:
The BRD was probably mad you were out-DPSing him on those AoE groups haha
But sincerely, you were in the right. If I don't DPS in dungeons as a healer at my level I feel very lazy. We have so much downtime that can be funneled toward helping take down mobs, it's better for everyone.
So long as you were keeping people alive, knew when to activate Cleric Stance (i.e. not when the tank is at 25% HP), and the tank wasn't actively trying to get him/herself killed (trust me, folks, this happens more often than you'd ever believe), I don't see the problem with few shots of Holy.
I'll support the idea that the bard was an idiot and, by extension, a bad player that cannot exploit the the potential of any job apparently. The sole idea of that sentence: ""you should only heal because your role is healer if you wanna dps you should roll dps" I just... can't find the words to describe how retarded that is... and yes, as a healer I also DPS. I also commendate the healer that DPS.
I'm always happy whenever I see aoe spells from whomever, cause I get to use Foes Req. :)
I don't see any issues with dps from healer if the moment allows for it.
