While my server has some bumpy roads, I do enjoy the company of many on it. The game is still really enjoyable to me, though I tend to do the SAME EXACT thing I did in FFXI and run back and forth in a certain area until I figure out what I want to do though I have stuff I could easily jump into. (The current spot is either Gridania markets or my free company's fence).

The general atmosphere of the world, the people and my character.
Even though this game's character creator is not as massive as some other games', I have rarely been so happy with the final result. Heterochromia should be a staple option!

I like the game and want to see it improve.

There's just so much to do (as a filthy casual, at least.) I enjoy running duties as different roles, and the storyline is good. Haven't made many friends yet, but enjoy my parties as I can.

There are a few games these days that capture the passion I had when gaming as a child. Final Fantasy XIV is one of them. For all its faults it's a game I still thoroughly enjoy and the company I keep within it is some of the most memorable, lovable, supportive people I've met.
I've dealt with flaws in games before or questionable business practices in games before. These things are small licences in the larger scope of my growing experience in gaming. It's worth it for me to stay.

I like this thread... so nice and cozy in here :)
I like the game because it reminds me of my younger years and keeps me entertained with existing and new friends.

The friends I've made here are really what keeps me, but I also enjoy raiding, gearing up & leveling my crafts.

I pay 9.99 a month. No other MMO has caught my attention. I don't jump from MMO to MMO.
What keeps me here is 3.0 in the hopes it adds more things to do. While FFXI had weekly lock outs, it had a vast majority of them. You could do sky Monday, sea Tuesday, dyanmis Wednesday, Einherjar Thursday, you could chocobo raise, or do BCNMS on your off days. Or do Nyzul. There was just so much to do.
My hope is 3.0 offers similar things cause if it's stays the same now, I am leaving and never looking back.

I enjoy the theme park, think a lot of things could be done better, but I still enjoy it. If I'm walking around a catch a whiff of something nasty, only to find a shit in one of the bushes though? I'm going to complain. That's what the cash shop is to me; a shit in a bush.
Gold Saucer and Airship building will keep my interest until they actually get released, hopefully after they're released too (assuming SE doesn't mess them up). Frontlines is great too, even if it does feel like the servers cannot handle a 72 man instance half the time (*cough*90k*cough*). Potential is keeping me around I guess, probably why I dislike the cash shop so much, seeing as cash shops are basically the practice of cutting up your games potential to lock behind a pay wall (example: weddings had potential for customizing the wedding itself, that option is now part of a premium package).
