None of what you said even requires melds. Stop being cheap and lazy.

I don't get why any of the vanity gear is starred. It's vanity! Sure, hard to get materials, I can get that but this every growing difficulty to just make it is preposterous.
None of those items are hard to get at all. Am I the only one that was sort of relieved to see just how cheap some of these recipes are?
I don't remember saying it was. But to make something whose only goal in life is to be pasted over something else with a prism shouldn't need millions of gil in investments to make. I'm talking about materia'd crafting gear. Unless you're doing everything yourself, from farming the catalyst to spiritbonding hundreds of items because RNG loves elemental materia... it's not cheap. And all that just to make vanity gear we already have. 4 star... >,<
This. With Allagan gear being able to be thrown into the GC seal crusher, there's really no excuse at this point not to be able to get the 9 Potash together - which is by far the most expensive part of the craft, and still not that much even after the price spike caused by the recipes being released.
For some perspective, Floss Silk itself costs 400k on Behemoth at the time of typing this. That's a little under FOUR TIMES the cost of all 9 Potash for ONE item. The one (each piece of Crescent Moon gear, which Floss Silk is used in, requires five) Fieldcraft Demimateria II costs 23.5k. Even a non-crafter could make 23.5k in a day, and it'll be even easier since Adventurer in Need bonuses are being boosted even further.
EDIT: OP, you want low level vanity, may I point to this? That one's not even a level 50 craft.
I find most items like this start out very expensive (makes sense, there's a high demand for new items), but once the initial rush is over the prices drop steadily. By the time the next patch hits their prices aren't beyond what any player could save up over a few days.
If you feel the vanity items are too expensive my suggestion would be to wait it out.
