Considering he stupidly struggled through the blizzard to the Gates of Judgement on foot, rather than ride his Legacy chocobo... yeah... he may be a Warrior of Light but he clearly isn't exactly the brightest candle in the chandelier. ;)
New job loltank needs level 30 loldrg leveled up before it can be unlocked. Also comes with a lolchocobo named Eatme.
There is a possibility that we, already being in lore-mode when this thing hit, connected some dots that make too much sense to not be moving dangerously close to the "not speculation anymore" border... so we're actually going to bow out of this one, just in case we were on to something. But, uh... there's this other Fan Fest in a week... and I hear you might want to watch that one, too...
Here's some wild speculation. I'm thinking the Warrior turned into a Templar, not a Dragoon. The gear may look similar, but there are many key differences, and I'm under the impression that the Warrior wouldn't simply change into gear that WASN'T Artifact Armor of some kind.
Or maybe I just think now is the absolute best possible time to introduce Templar as a job since it makes the most sense for it to be introduced when we're going to a country with a theocratic ruling body protected by a bunch of dudes with spears.
When I initially saw the trailer, I felt that there was some allegorical hints (which are all very broad stretches, I admit). The Warrior removing his armor was allegory for a new Berserker job, the shot where the gauntlet was locking into place looked a bit like Cecil's gauntlet from when he was a Dark Knight, and the way he walked away from the camera in very light-colored armor compared to a traditional Dragoon made me think about Kain's transformation into Holy Dragoon in FFIV: TAS, and the real Job Equivalent of that elsewhere is Templar.
Again, wild speculation, but it's something.
The armour the Dragoon is wearing is the "AF2" set that was shown many months ago. The name was "Dragon Knight", adirect translation of "竜騎士", which is Dragoon in Japanese.

So it's highly unlikely it's another job. Especially when it comes to fighting Dragons, why would someone take another job than the one specialized for it.
