If they try to rehash things in the expansion, they can expect to lose a lot of subs. I think the majority are pretty tired of getting the same content every 4 months. It's already bad enough that 2.4 is looking identical to 2.2 (or worse) thanks to the vague/boring previews we've been getting thrown at us. I'm trying to remain hopeful that the expansion will finally remove the training wheels from this MMO and add more depth to the overall systems in place.
I don't mind lockouts, I just hope they listen to the actual raiders and reduce lockout duration (72 hours) if they're still wanting to go the easy route of a single 4 boss raid. Horizontal progression would be a plus as that would further increase the amount of things the fast moving crowd can work on to better their characters. There's many more I'd like to see worked out but I hate long posts.
Looking forward to beating the new coil. Hoping for some more turns though than what the current coil had to offer. Just to save upon months and months of farm runs prior to the expansion.
Mwuah, I think Yoshi did actually at some point state that even he believed that the current rate at which iLvL increased turned out to be too high. If they start with leveling that out, more raids can stay viable alongside of each other to be played. Besides that, we've also seen quite a lot of QoL features thrown in during this first years. With that out of the way, there's still hope that in the expansion endgame PvE content can mature out a bit.
