Real life supersedes playing a video game. Complain to SE about the queue times instead of those who have waited 20 minutes and then have something important come up in that wait.
That moment when ur stomach hurts and u have to decide should i keep playing or run to the washroom. Then u find out someone else is in the washroom, thus making u go like gg on my stomach and the party lol.
Your party may have landed that boss kill but something else has also landed in ur pants lol.
So not worth the detergent and bleach ^^
Someone always comes in to say this. It's not that simple, especially with an MMO, where you are playing with other people. Just because those people are on the other side of the Internet does not mean you're not wasting their time by quitting on them.
It should be placed into roughly the same level of commitment as going to the movies, or playing a sport with friends; recreational, but involving others. If someone has a real emergency at their house, with their family, medically, etc. then of course they should leave and take care of that. If someone calls and tells them to take out the trash or go buy some groceries, then it can wait until the current commitment is over.
It's not just "real life > video games" when other people's real lives are affected too.
Whats sad is after I saw a screen shotted shout once from a angry player over a FATE that spawned and no one was coming to it because it was Mothers Day and people were off spending time with their mothers. Said player said "this FATE is worth 35k XP, send a card" and I wouldn't be surprised at all about the funeral statement >_>
The point of this thread is people NOT giving reasonable explanations, or just abruptly , in the middle of something saying "gonna go guys, I just decided that this isn't worth the 5 soldiery" "good luck!" *Timmeh Selfishtank has left the group*(they queued JUST for 5 soldiery in low level roulette and it was a smooth run so they didn't leave because of a bad group). That's just one example.
I understand that stuff happens that takes precedence over the game. However why is it that 90% of the time the people that have to go for whatever reason are tanks? Yeah big mystery there. I will never get mad at someone who leaves over an emergency and I understand that sometimes people don't have time to type out "gtg emergency" due to the urgency of whatever it is they need to do. But I refuse to believe that being a tank in FF14 increases your RL bad luck and brings more misfortune and causes you to have to leave groups that waited 20-60m+ and leaving 4-7 other people to fend for themselves.
